Ping is going to sell 5,000 limited edition all pink G20 Drivers to commemorate Bubba's Masters win. Interest brought down Ping's website and it's still down as I post this.

BTW, according to Golf Digest, no Bi-Matrix shaft option like Bubba's:

 

The driver is the same technologically as the regular G20 but boasts a pink club head (that comes with a matching pink head cover) and a bright pink shaft. The shaft is a high-balance-point Ping TFC 169D labeled, "Bubba Long in Pink. Driven by PING. Special Edition 2012." The pink G20 will be available in regular, stiff and ladies flexes and in lofts of 9.5, 10.5 and 12 degrees. A 10.5-degree model is available for lefties and a 12-degree version in women's. The MSRP on the club is $430. (The actual pink shaft on Watson's driver is a Grafalloy BiMatrx, and his loft is 8.5 degrees.)

I guess it will be more of a collectible, limited edition kind of thing. I personally wouldn't put it into play.

Not that I have any interest in buying a pink driver, but I think that it is very odd that they would release a Bubba Watson commemorative driver that has such limited options for left-handers (10.5 degree loft only?) and isn't even available in x-flex. At that price I would be surprised that they have much interest.

Probably aiming mostly at collectors - Ping says a portion of the proceeds will go to Bubba-approved charities in the Scottsdale area.

Let's be grateful Bubba did not win with TMaG equipment. We would then have the commemorative R-11, RBZ, the R-11 Super Deep, the R-11 Tri-Deep, and the RBZ Tri-Super Deep.

Great question. 5,000 seems like a lot, though it is a big country/big world. June also seems like a long time from now. I know they can't just snap their fingers and make them appear, but I would think they'd be better off if they were selling them in the immediate wake of his win.
