lagratte
Hello, After a year of golf I had to stop playing for 7 months. I resumed with difficulty and only with irons because I totally lost my swing. I'm just starting to find some consistency and I'm looking for a 5 fairway wood that's easy to play. Could you give me your opinion on these references according to their price? Wilson D300SL regular 90€ Wilson D9 regular 95€ Wilson launch pad regular ou light 130€ Tour edge c522 regular 120€ Cleveland launcher HB light 100€ Acer SR1 110-140€ I think the d300, the cheapest, is enough for beginners but it may not be the easiest to play and it's an old range. GolfSpy_APH
Not on your list, but cobra makes some good fairways and should be cheaper as well. Check out the F7 series. It is from a few years back, but would be in the same price range or cheaper! Dweed 1 Quote as of June 2nd, 2023 (Past WITB) Driver: TBD: Follow here: Driver Shootout! Jnoble89
I picked up a Taylormade Sim 2 Max 3 wood last year on Global Golf for a really good price, and they are currently running an extra 20% off those models, plus 15% off site wide. They do have 5 woods available as well, in very good condition for around $150 USD, plus the extra 15% off. I have found my Sim 2 Max 3 wood to be much easier to hit both off the tee and deck than my previous club, which was the TM M4. I don't know if that is in the price range you're looking for, but I'd give it a look if it is. lagratte
I know that sim2 max is a very good range. But, it is significantly more expansive than the other wood. Quote Link to comment
Dweed
Well first of all, sure hope you are doing OK after the 7 month layoff. If you are just looking for a good second hand 5 fairway metal, for practice before buying a more current club, you might consider Adams Tightlies 5 metal. Found on many used club sites and very reasonable. Very easy to hit and ease back into it. Good luck. lagratte
first of all, thank you for your message. not everything is perfect, but I hope the worst is over. I hadn't considered making a purchase like this. Rather try to find a recent club in destocking. But it's a good idea. GolfSpy_APH 1 Quote Link to comment
