What are the recommended swing speeds for a Hazardous RDX Smoke 6.5 vs a 6.0? Also what would be the down fall if you go to stiff vs to soft? Swing speed is 110 comfortably

IMO, swing speed really isn't a deciding factor in determining flex.  It is about how you deliver the club to the ball and how you transition at the top.    You also need to consider the fact that it has a Black, Blue, Red, and Green profile.   too stiff or too soft could have no impact or it could significantly impact ball flight and contact location on the face.   You can do a search and find general guidelines which show things like anything over 105 should be X (6.5) others will show 110 as the cutoff.  Too stiff generally fades, loses distance, lower trajectory.  Too weak and you miss left and the club won't flex consistently.  Again all generalities.

Swing speed and shaft flex aren’t really the ways to go about things.

How you swing, how the shaft feels, the shaft weight, the stiffness profile are what you should be looking at and should be testing.

hzrdus shafts have a stiffer profile compared to other shafts of similar advertised profile and might not fit your swing.

also which smoke shaft are you looking at? There’s a smoke green, yellow, black and a blue.

So to add more context. I did a Taylormade fitting about a week ago. Current setup is a ventus blue stiff w/ TM Sim 2 Max head. After looking at some number the fitter put me in a Hazardous Black Gen 4 shaft. That is were I am getting my swing speed numbers which average about 110 comfortably and if I tried to go at one I could get to 113-115.

He said that I could just play the same Sim 2 head I have and buy the Hazardous RDX Black(Cheaper) since the only difference is that I put to much spin on my ball. Where I am getting stuck is he said that I am on the borderline of going 6.0 and going 6.5. Which is why I am asking what would be the pro and con of going from one to the other.

Again choosing a shaft based on swing speed is bad. It should be based on feel and the performance

Based on what the fitter is telling it comes down to feel at this point and nothing more. Since it sounds like the fitter didn’t have you hit the two flexes side by use you will have to test them out in that head and see what feels good to you and how the performance changes if any between them.

If one feels bad then it’s going to negatively impact your swing compared I the one that feels better. That’s the pro/con of the two flexes.

I was fit into the 6.5 Hzrdus gen 4 and I swing it between 108-112. It’s a great shaft if you like Hzrdus shafts.

Im actually about to put the shaft up for sale if you’re interested. It’s has a Titleist adapter though.

Former Class A pro here. I just got fit into a 6.0 and my swing speed varies from 103 cold to 123 warmed up. 118 avg. You have to trust the numbers/fitter. I always look for the best dispersion to distance. The 6.5 and TX, I felt like I was losing the club head feel at the bottom…. I hate that bc I like to be able to work the ball both ways if need be. I have always naturally played a pull/cut and am able to really unload when I want with that swing. Gotta go off feel and the best stats to back it up. Everyone delivers the club head differently
