Article about the ball hit the MGS site and it is also on the PXG site for sale.   $40 ball that based on the article may be the Kirkland ball

Going to be an interesting ball for testing. Price is right where many guessed. Nothing too crazy, but maybe more expensive than what many had maybe thought. 

If I find a sleeve I'll be sure to pick it up for purchase if anything to just see what its like.

Yeah, I was interested to see what they would offer.  Seeing it now at $40 a box I'm not really interested anymore.  There is a multitude of Premium DTC balls that can be had for this price or less.

Oncore Vero X1 and X2 come in around this price (X1 less if you buy two boxes, X2 same price if you buy 2 boxes).  I've really thought these Oncore balls were the best for me but I'm not really purchasing too often as I find the price creeps too close to Pro V1's.  I bought a bunch when they had Black Friday sale (ended up at $27/box), and hoping it makes me through the season.

Snell and Vice balls come in less than this as well.

At $40 for this PXG ball I'm not jumping to get any.  Might try it at some point, but the price point to me significantly lowers my interest level.

Like I said when this was first brought up, I think they've priced wrong... but it's going to be a middle-of-the-curve ball with a urethane cover at $40. For some, it'll be perfect, for others it won't.

I will say though, the journalism student in me who took some advertising classes for copywriting purposes loves the ad copy PXG puts out, it's always good for a chuckle.

With the Hero’s discount I was able to get a dozen at 34.99. That is worth trying the ball out. I have played OnCore X1 and X2. I like them. However, they both cost more so, it’s worth a try. I have also tried Vice and Snell, but I don’t care for their balls. I was a hardcore Pro V1 fan, but recently changed to OnCore. We shall see how these balls workout.

Made the same place where the Kirkland signature is made. Same dimple pattern as well apparently.

Yeah same thing happened when I ordered my Ping Glide 2.0 wedges. Asked the rep if the 3.0 were coming out soon and he said no, hadn't heard anything. 3 days later after the order the launched them... It happens!

The spin numbers PXG claims look awfully similar to the Kirkland ball in the 2021 MGS ball test.

At a price point of $40, I think I'll stick to the MaxFli Tour, I love the feel and performance they offer.

My guess is that the balls were under embargo and the employees were told not to say they were going to be available.   If you had called any OEM about unreleased equipment you would probably have heard the same thing.

As far as I'm concerned, I'll wait and see if any tour player(s) under the PXG banner plays the ball.

Agree or like we stated, the front line employees just didn’t know. However, they gave the caveat in the email that any equipment release would be on their website. So, in that regards the lady was correct.
