Longer shaft in a 7 wood?

Anybody playing with a 5 wood length shaft in a 7 wood?  I am considering this due to the tight winter time lies in Florida.
Any advice?  What should I expect?

My opinion, the lie shouldn’t influence shaft length; that would be sole design consideration.

what are you retrying to accomplish?  If I were to generalize, what you would see is a harder to hit club due to increased length and potentially more distance on good strikes due to a potential for increased club speed due to increased shaft length.

I don’t play a 7 word that way but do play 4/5 woods with 3w shaft length.

each persons results will vary based on how they react to the length of the club, weight and feel.

I get more distance due to slight increase in speed and my launch characteristics don’t change much

That's essentially what my Heaven Wood is.  You will maintain the launch characteristics of your 7 wood and add a bit of length (in theory, anyway)

Driver: :callaway-small: Rogue ST Max (10.5* set at -1 and neutral) -- Mitsubishi Tensai Blue 55g R shaft

Fairway: :callaway-small: Rogue ST Max 3 wood (16.5*) and Heaven Wood (20*)-- Tensai Blue 55g R shaft

Hybrids: :callaway-small: Rogue ST Max 5H (23*)--Tensai Blue 55g R shaft

Irons:  :callaway-small: Apex CF19 6-9, PW, AW -- KBS Tour Graphite  TGI 70 shafts R +1/2 inch 3* upright

Wedges: Edison 53* and  57* KBS PGI 80 Graphite +1/2 inch 2* upright

Putter: L.A.B. DF 2.1 -- BGT Stability shaft

Exactly why I play the HeavenWood.  It's my goto club for longer distances from not-so-good lies.

Because of that, do we need to consider the length of the shaft?

Story: needed a stiff shaft in my Epic driver so ordered just the shaft from Callaway pre-owned. Put the driver regular shaft in the 3 wood, the 3 wood shaft in the 5 wood, and the 5 wood shaft in my heavenwood. This added a few yards and fixed the yardage gap between my 4 hybrid and my 5 wood. Plus, for some reason and just me I guess, but they were straighter. Nice thing about the Epic club line that you can buy shafts and change them in about 1 minute.

Driver: Callaway Epic 9 degree, stiff (set at 10 degrees with the movable weight in the center}

FW: Callaway Epic 3,5, heaven wood w/ regular shaft (driver shaft in 3 wood, 3 wood shaft in 5 wood, 5 wood shaft in heaven wood, all three set at neutral plus 1 degree)

Hybrids: Callaway BB19 4,6,7 (4 set at neutral plus 1 degree and 6 and 7 set at neutral minus 1 degree for gapping purposes)

Irons: Callaway Rogue ST Max 8, 9, PW

Wedges: Titleist Vokey SM6 50,54,58

Ball: Titleist Pro V1, 1X, Vice Pro Plus or anything I find that day and try out for the fun of it (I haven't bought balls with my own money in at least 10 years)

I have a Callaway driver, 3W, Heavenwood, and 9 Wood.  I thought the Heavenwood was a strong 7W with a 5W shaft in it.  I was told that the shaft was 1/4" longer than a 5W shaft.  I love that club!
