Well @daviddvm I was hoping to shoot lights out for Team LoneStar... but alas... 

Shot Gross 78 / Net 75 (with my course handicap of 3).  Had only 2 net birdies and my longest drive was 255.  Nothing worth measuring for KP.  

I will say... it was fun to be out on the course and thinking about playing the round with my Virtual Partner.  I probably would have let my mind wander to less focused things... but I would stand over a shot and think... Ok, my Partner is counting on me here..  ... I have no doubt I would have shot low 80's without that added focus.

Fairways and greens are in good shape, the greens especially. They rolled true and seemed to be on the quicker side which I like. They are building quit a few tee boxes and those look awesome. Bummer side of that is the tee boxes currently being used are not good. A few of them were hard to find a patch of grass to tee from. That did not play a roll in me not being able hot a driver today, that was all user error.

Gross Score: 119
Course HC: 36
Net score: 83
To par: +12
Net Birdies: 4
KP: nada
LD: 199

Course is par 71 as well.  That should put us in at a total of +17 over par.

Updated Scores Posted above... Awards Ceremony to follow later today (when we arrange all the tv cameras and reporters  ).

and the Winners are ready to be announce. 

 

 

We had a late surge of golfers and teams being built and ended up with 11 Team Scores. 

The 2023 MGS Forum Member Players Low Net Team Champions are:

TEAM CON9HOLES @Connorn2 and @richk9holes with their combined net -4... think about that for a minute... two scores combined... 4 under par net!!!  Tremendous play guys!!  Congratulations.  

Low Gross 2 Balls Combined score goes to TEAM FEAST MODE @Golf2Much and (sheepishly) @Golfspy_TCB with a combined gross score of +11.  

Most Net Birdies, to no surprise, was also the low net score posted with 14 combined birdies or better.  But in the true spirit of highlighting our great tourney play - the TEAM OLD GEASERS @tony@CIC and @fozcycle posted 13 total net birdies. 

Longest Drive of the tourney goes to @Peaksy68 with a 302 yarder. 

and without exact measurements (unless all three of the KP posters ended EXACTLY 3 feet from the cup), our closest to the pin winners are @daviddvm  @tony@CIC and @snicerz.

 

All winners above will be sporting the MGA PLAYERS CHAMPION BADGE until the end of Season 1. 

Congrats to all the winners and thanks to EVERYONE who participated.!

While shout outs to teammates is going on, I'll give one to @Mr. Mushball for jumping in with the new guy on the schoolyard and not leaving me last picked. To @Connorn2 thanks for carrying the load. If a speech is in order, you deserve to give it. Great round and I'm glad I was the lucky guy with the odd number round sitting waiting for a teammate. I'll try to do more lifting for Con9Holes next time we team.

Haha I’d say the Tour Striker PlaneMate needs to give the speech, it’s the only thing that carried me past the big 100 threshold! 
 

This competition was great fun tho, can’t wait for the next competition we get Con9Holes going again. Looking forward to more!

Yes indeed!  It has to be one of the best aids to help build your swing.  I still use the pitch motion drills as a warm up.
