I’m most interested in ball speed, launch angle and club speed. Spin would be great but I don’t know if that is available in the sub $1000 range.

It’s been a minute since i looked at many of the monitors but you are going to want the mevo.

The next question is are you using this to work on the swing and if so do you know what to look for in the swing to determine what’s causing the numbers if they are not optimal and what’s needed to fix it?

Not implying or accusing of anything here, it’s a curiosity thing because it’s not common for most to have this knowledge

THEORETICALLY, I have the knowledge of what causes different ball flights. I emphasize theoretically because knowing how the club is moving through the hitting area and having the body awareness to change that are very different things. When things get bad I rely on an instructor for help.  Thanks for the Mevo suggestion. I’ll look into it.

Makes sense. The body awareness or understanding of what’s off in the swing is where most lack. Many diagnose symptoms rather than causes. Example flipping or scooping people will think the need to work on holding wrist angles and not realizes it’s caused by being steep in transition and they don’t have much choice but to scoop along with early extend.

Having the instructor goes along way.

You’re welcome on the recommendation

Have a Garmin R10 that works well for directional level analysis.  Also use I-phone to take video on swings from different angle.   This combination has been quite helpful and relatively inexpensive.  Also take a few lessons every year.

I just got the MLM2Pro and I use it hitting into a net. Initial Wi-Fi setup was fussy but Rapsodo has emailed users that they are working on improvements. I works fine in the net. I had the original MLM monitor and liked it. The MLM2PRO is clearly a big step up. I really like the data points, especially having spin numbers.

Did you end up getting the Mevo?

I did not.  I've bought some new clubs recently and decided to wait to spend the money on a launch monitor.
