Not the greatest but so good to get out! It is also my favorite course it was nothing but farm fields in the 80s now it’s a stunning golf course! I left my phone at home this time so maybe that’s what threw me off!

Had a rough round this morning. Another new course for me. Good takeaways are that my minions were good. However my putting was very bad I had 10 3 puts and a four put this round.

Had a really impressive front 9 shooting only 4 over (best 9 yet!!) but the rough on the back 9 was sitting at 3-4" of heavy grass, so getting shots out of there was absolutely brutal which led to my 8 over on the back... Overall really happy and hoping to break 80 soon!

Great early morning round of golf before I went to school. This is my last week of school and all my testing is done and my homework is turned in so my dad took me to the course. It was a calm and perfect morning with no one really on the course. I practiced wedge distances for about 4 hours on Saturday so my wedges were really good today. I did lip out or burn the edges on a few putts today, but other than that the round was really clean. And I beat my dad by 12 strokes, which is always fun. He played not great for him and shot 85, but we had a perfect morning. I may get in another 18 after school, fingers crossed!

What a round! Went out to test the Bag Boy ZTF stand bag (Check the review out here!) and ended up shooting a 78! Holed out from the fairway, about 70 yards out, for eagle.  After that it was pretty much just survive lol.

Tale of 2 9's 

Shot a wonderful 2 over on the front with a couple birdies and the bogies were very much avoidable, but you know stuff happens. 

Back 9 was just not there. I have a few things I can pin point, but bottom line is I need to be more patient and not get as rattled with slow play.

I had three bad holes today, One was cause by a root from a tree being in a sand trap. The other was a bad chip. I also had a four putt on a par 3. Three holes that put me 6 over and I still shot a 82 with one birdie.

I've been having a bit of a hard time on the course both mentally and physically. Walked off after 8 on Saturday after 4 lost balls and a litany of bad shots; slice pulls, tops, shanks. After some soul searching over the weekend back out yesterday. Burnt it up on the front but back 9 was a trial.

Landmand didn't eat my lunch like I had feared but it did take me 7 holes to get comfortable on the massive greens. Twice I had putts over 60 feet for birdies and once I actually broke out the rangefinder to discover I was 45 yards, not feet, away for birdie. Once I got past the challenge of the greens it was just a matter of battling 25mph winds and figuring out how much extra, or less, club to hit. By #8 I was dialed in and played the last 10 holes +1. Eager to get back and play again now that I'm familiar with the course.

I played and scored probably my best round in the last few months.  Even though I only hit 50% of the fairways (from my normal 75%), my short approach and chipping was dead on today.  Only 28 putts (8 one putts and no three putts) and six up and downs!

I finally seemed to putt better today.  Of my ten two putts, at least three missed within a few inches and others were two putts from a decent distance.  I'm finally getting used to the Callaway Paradym X irons.  Today was the best I've hit them since they arrived two months ago!  I hope both these trends continue!

First round after a 3-week break while on vacations. A brutal 52 on front-nine including an 8 on a par 3 and an incalculable amount of 3-putts. Managed to piece my game back on the back-nine but still couldn't putt to save my life.

Started on the back nine today and it was rough out of the gate with phone calls coming in right as I'm heading to the first hole and then again while heading to the second hole of the day. Normally, I wouldn't answer the phone but one was concerning my LASIK procedure on Thursday and the next call was from my new boss who I will be reporting to starting next Tuesday.

I managed to right the ship though and fired a 39 on the front nine! 1 gross eagle and 1 gross birdie on the day as well!!!

Actually stuck the approach for the eagle after a big drive and a solid 8-iron to a front pin!

Practice round, getting used to the new gamers still Callaway Rogue ST irons and woods (LS for the lumber).  Was a mostly uneventful round.  8 bogeys, 10 pars.  Chipping and pitching weren’t as clean as they have been in recent weeks, I hit some great shots from inside 100 yards that just didn’t hold.  Putting similar story great lines but a foot short or long. Best hole today was 13, 400+ yards from the blues and I hit Driver (305) and had a 3/4 lob wedge to the pin….that I pulled to left side of the green, leaving a 30’ birdie putt with about 3’ of break that was rolled to 1’ short….

Played OK Putted very well with the new Garsen MAX grip installed.31 putts with one 3 putt.  However, my total feet of putts made had to be about 30 feet as I had 7 stop within 6 inches of the hole.  That grip is definitely helping me with lag putting.  Missed 2 birdie putts inside 10 feet though.

Still, for a new course it's not terrible.  You'll get it next time.

I did play today, but it was at the local pitch 'n' putt.  Wound up net -5 on a par 27.  Was a good walk too.  I would have done better, but I flew a few greens.  

I have a round at a regulation length course tomorrow.
