I was rained out Monday night after 9 holes and I didn’t dry off my clubs when I got home. When I played Tuesday night I found one of my wedges started to rust.

Fantastic round except for 2-6s & 2-7s. 3 legit birdies. 5 skins. Handicap is high cuz horrible putting … 3 putted everything. Today, sank 5 1-putts.

Rust shouldn't affect the performance of the clubface, or so YouTube tells me.  I kinda like the look of a well used rusted wedge.  You get a nice wear pattern on the bottom edge and up to where the ball and grass wear off the rust.  A fine patina.

No black jackets this week! Good ball striking as I hit 14 greens in regulation or better. Sometimes I just can’t putt. Six three putts on the front nine to shot six over. That just sucks! Finally got it going on the back and shot even. However, still missed four putts inside seven feet on the lip! The round that could have, should have, but wasn’t!

Played in our Wednesday Men's Low net tournament and shot a 79. The could have been better except a lost ball on #9 hole. I still double bogey the hole to shoot a 40 on the front. I am happy with the round and looking forward to play again on Friday at Cimarron.

I made a subtle change in my downswing move today and ball striking was great. 12/14 Fwys 9/18 GIR. Putter wasn’t “hot” but not bad with 31 putts. It was windy as heck and hit 3 balls into the hazards, resulting in 2 doubles and a bogey. 
 

The most important thing is I figured out my alignment issue I developed Sunday.

Loved to play that course when I lived in Smithfield, along with The Nurse Golf Club.
