Back is on the mend, tough getting through the ball. Hit some straight pulls because of the back. That being said I made 6 birdies lol when I got it in the fairway and on the green it was going in. The middle of the round was fire made 5 birdies from 8-14. 5 in 7 holes! Hit one bomb too…342.Terrible finish.

Got beat up.  Lost too many balls (9 penalties) on the back 9.  Putting was off, for some reason the new grip felt unfamiliar and killed my confidence.  Strange as it was feeling good the last few times I used it.  Not posting my score card, it's miserable looking. 

Otherwise had a great day at a nice park in the sun!

Second 18 of the day....play at 6am most days.  Got asked to play in a 4some and we played WOLF.  Never played it before.  Enjoyed it.  Guy in our group shot a 69 and I still won some $$$!  Started on the back 9 and stunk it up with a 41.  Shot a 35 on the front with 3 birdies and jacked up the 9th with a DOUBLE!  Would have been my best front 9 ever at my course.

I made a subtle change in my downswing move today and ball striking was great. 12/14 Fwys 9/18 GIR. Putter wasn’t “hot” but not bad with 31 putts. It was windy as heck and hit 3 balls into the hazards, resulting in 2 doubles and a bogey. 
 

The most important thing is I figured out my alignment issue I developed Sunday. 

Rick, think you need to check your post - the -8 doesn't compute with a net of 72

Landmand didn't eat my lunch like I had feared but it did take me 7 holes to get comfortable on the massive greens. Twice I had putts over 60 feet for birdies and once I actually broke out the rangefinder to discover I was 45 yards, not feet, away for birdie. Once I got past the challenge of the greens it was just a matter of battling 25mph winds and figuring out how much extra, or less, club to hit. By #8 I was dialed in and played the last 10 holes +1. Eager to get back and play again now that I'm familiar with the course.

Watched the NLU video on Landmand and looks like such a fun course, especially after hearing the architect talk about it.

Great weather, course was in its usual good shape. I drove the ball phenomenally, (I think I only missed two fairways, first and last). If I ever lock in my approach shots, or go a whole round without a double, I could be good at this game!
