Overall this was a pretty solid round for my skill of play. This course can be very penalizing with lots of pine trees. Hitting fairways was the key today, and hitting the green from tree fairway allowed me to keep momentum. Putter was cold for the front nine but stayed steady. Lots of two putts staying out of trouble. For my own personal game, the difference in me shooting 70s and 80s is careful calculation of my club selection and shot shape. Today I did that well. More caution on two holes with water and I could’ve went a little lower.

This round was qualifying for a local golf team. Played fairly well, had a couple lost balls that really cost me strokes. Learned not to try and aggressively fly the ball into the green when the ball is below my feet…I lost 8-10 strokes hitting thin shots into the woods behind the green. Lesson learned, last try next weekend!

Terrible round, teed off at 645 after a 40 minute drive to get there and I was racing stock cars the night before so my body was in terrible condition. 1st hole, I could knock on the green and I would get the sound like concrete lol, knew the greens were gonna push us to some limits today. All in all, lost 3 balls and didn't realize that my driver was adjusted to my wife's settings until hole 18 . Hole 18 was beautiful hahaha 342 piped up the middle, stuck to 4 feet and dropped it in. Now I feel my body is warmed up after I finish but oh well. This does happen in this wonderful sport!

Well. Definitely didn't go as planned on the front nine. Numerous blowout holes. I had high hopes to shoot sub-40 on the back nine but lost another ball in the water on hole 17. Had a total of 7 lost balls and driver is ruining my life as usual. It was one of those case of too much golf in a short time span. A week or two of rest will hopefully be beneficial.

The Tale of Two Nines... 42/35 for a 77.  EVEN PAR on the back, and interesting that the wind picked up on the back nine.  Missed shooting my age again by bogeying #18.  Actually I missed it on the front nine, shooting +5.  A birdie on #6 and another one on the drivable par 4 #14; drove the ball pin high on the fringe for a tap-in birdie.

Had a great round, almost had my first hole-in-one. Drove the ball and approch shots were really good today. Putting was good as well. I saved quite a few strokes on chipping it close. I also hit a few 5 wood shots up on the green.

This round was special for me even though it wasn't my best round. For my 40th birthday my wife and kids took me golfing. It was a great day, and I got a birthday birdie (a birdie on my birthday). Pic is with my 1st son Levi, 2 months old. I also have 4 girls 12,11,9,&7). I am very blessed.

I was able to play a local state park course that "used to be" a Bear Trace Course designed by Jack Nicholas.  It closed several years ago and reopened.  The layout is still the same as before.  Fairways are ample but challenging.  Layups are recommended unless you are a long hitter. All greens are elevated and protected.  The best part of the day, my father and brother were my playing partners.  

*Question.. I am not sure I am calculating these net birdies correctly.  Does anyone have a recommended site that can explain the process? *

Posted my career tying round yesterday at the local course in town (69.6/127)  I got 13 strokes and posted a diff of 5.7.  There was a PCC adjustment at the course saving me from the dreaded -7 net penalty.  Shot 76, with 3 birdies, 7 pars and 8 bogies.  Missed 3 more makeable putts from less than 10 feet too.  Really felt good yesterday for the first time this year.  Somehow only pushed the 6-6-6 game in my group.
