Looking for some help. I have a neutral ball flight with all of my clubs except with the driver. To hit the driver well I need to take a stronger grip and shut the face a little in the setup. With this setup I can hit good drives with a slight fade. The problem is this feels awkward and I fear the hook.
I’m looking for a driver with a slight draw bias so I don’t need to change my setup. My last three drivers: Cobra LTDx, Stealth, and Sim2.

Thanks for the help.

Pretty much any adjustable driver can be set in a draw setting to help that out, but I think in reality it's more of a potential setup/downswing issue that could probably be fixed permanently vs chasing a fix with buying new equipment. As someone who fought a banana slice for years with the driver, I know that pain.

Thanks. I have the +4 grip on the driver and relaxing my grip does help. I still struggle to close the face on the driver but it’s the only club I struggle with.

most drivers these days have an adjustment for fade or draw using the weights on the club , if not many clubmakers make a draw version of their drivers if you read the descriptions of the different models.

I just tried the U try program from Global Golf. $25 to test a driver for two weeks. I just got the Srixon ZX5 and the Callaway Mavrik for two weeks. I like the Mavrik thus far. Going to test a little more and see. Nice way to try before you buy.

Most likely a swing path issue combined with the thought of trying to hit harder/farther which causes the hands and arms to engage and throw off the timing.  At least that is my issue.  My general swing thoughts before addressing the ball - stay connected, practice swings with path from inside to the right side of second base (sorry for the analogy), arms relaxed, and trust it.

I would suggest to be careful with this type of swing thought. It typically leads to too inside of a path and the that can lead to getting stuck and all the issues that come with that. Thinking more of a neutral path will take care of everything for launch, spin, etc

I totally agree, and any thought that is ‘over-executed’ most likely causes an unintended consequence. This works for me with my driver as 99% of my misses are some combination of OTT, losing my spine angle prematurely and active arms all of which for me lead to poor transition.  For iron shots, my thought is ‘inside/up’ as my likely miss is a more subtle combination of OTT or too flat on the takeaway.  I think the trick is to find what works without overflowing with thoughts and working out the mechanics on the practice range.

I know my slice was helped with getting a reduced taper grip (Golf Pride Tour Velvet +4). Not having the taper helped me loosen my grip and not need such a strong grip.  Might be worth the $7 to see.

I think thats what i need to do i have lamkin sonar jumbos on all my irons due to my hand size, being 6’4 i have pretty large hands. But i have the standard grip on my driver and i find with my swing speeds the clubs tends to twist in my hands. I always have to close the face something wicked and then just take like a 3/4 swing and my mind just cant fathom that for some reason, so i swing and shank the hell out of it.

Been playing for about 2 years in total. Winter breaks and a 6month period when I got sick. Starting to feel like myself again and recently played a “okay” round.
I currently have custom fit Cobra LTDx irons/wedges, a Vokey 60(cause my short game has been the best part of my game, and a Maverick 9 deg. Driver. Driving is the worst part of my game so My 4 iron usually takes alot of the long game abuse.

I wonder if the grips Bryson Dechambeau uses would help. Jumbo max is the brand. They have a grip selector. Now I might have to buy one and try on my test driver. I wonder if ridiculous grips would work lol
