The Much Anticipated, and LONG Overdue....

MGS Forum Member VCT - Forum Cup YTD Points Tally

Season 1 was quite a race with @Golf2Much taking the YEAR LONG POINTS TITLE.  

Season 2 is a FULL SEASON, so plenty of time to rack up the points. 

Points are awarded based on your top score each week, with special points awarded for Most Net Birdies or Better and Longest Drive each week.

Special events also add to the point totals (Such as the GolfShot promotion earlier in the year - offering double points during the first week the GolfShot App was used and posted in the VCT.  Note: these points have not yet been calculated, so the results above will reflect those bonus points on a future revision). 

After 14 weeks, we have another tight race... only 111 points separate 1st and 2nd place, and several others just a handful of points behind them.  

Top 10 currently...

@Javs; @RoverRick; @J7Hawkins; @Randall Robbins; @invee123; @Bohnson (power of the long drive points); @Placasse61; @Mr_BogeyPro; and @warrenator8

The more scores you post, the more chance you have to climb the points list... so make sure you get ALL YOUR SCORES in the Weekly Virtual Championship Tour.

 

By the way...

Season 1 had 42  separate members in the field. 

Season 2 has had 186 individual members posting in the VCT... SO FAR!!!

Thanks @GolfSpy TCB for keeping up with this! Always fun to have a little competition and camaraderie. Would be fun to do a shootout amongst the top players the final week or after the final week. Could still do the "yearlong points leader" and then have a bonus week for the top guys. Maybe a shootout where we blind draw the teams into a best ball of some sort. Thanks again!

Wish I had jointed earlier in the year but this is so much fun! Shouldn't but honestly makes me more excited to get back out there!

Thanks @GolfSpy TCB for the shout out as Season 1 winner.  Being one of 42 was a lot easier to stand out than being one of 186!

It's great seeing four and a half times as many MGS members competing on a weekly basis.  It's a lot of fun and we have the commissioner to thank!

Obviously, I need to play more golf. Or perhaps just better golf. It’s 4am, and I’ve been watching golf swing videos for the past 2 hours. Okay, I woke up and realized I made an error on who was working today so I had to correct that by 2:30. Then since I have 15 trucks leaving between 2:30 and 4 am, I’ve been sort of checking on them. 

Monday was my anniversary and after 5 years of getting woken up several times a week at 2-4 am with problem phone calls, I just naturally wake up and see what’s happening. 10 truck go out at 10 pm, and 15 at 2am makes for crazy hours, but I have built my schedule around being able to play golf at least 4 times a week.

Awesome work with the VCT, @GolfSpy TCB! Really cool to see how massively participation has grown from last year to this year! As a newcomer to the VCT this year, it's been really fun to participate! Even more so when I won a weekly net birdie badge. More motivation to get another!

Welp I need to get some more rounds in, missed the past 2 weeks with prepping for vacation and then vacation....Hopefully can get some LONG drives out there!
