What does waving the white flag mean?  
org is going to be in turmoil after whatever the inappropriate behavior thing turns out to be with the DC.  BlackHawks are still facing backlash over front office behavior.

The only Chicago team you root for and follow is the Bears?   As a bears fan, you should be aware that the defensive coordinator resigned over some kind of inappropriate behavior within the org.   I am sure with similar things happening with the Blackhawk’s a few years ago it won’t turn out well

I have never followed Hockey and as a Chicago resident it was amazing how I rarely saw a Blackhawks jersey, then after they won the Cup they were everywhere.   I was a long suffering Sox fan (never hated the Cubs though) but once I picked up the Diamondbacks I stopped watching. Huge Suns fan for obvious reasons.

... Eberflus who was with Williams in Indy of course has gone on record saying it was only a family issue and no problems with the org so we shall see. One of the things I dislike about media speculation is kicking someone when they are down. Plenty of time for the truth to come out but like Jordan losing this Dad and it being blamed on his gambling, I stopped paying attention to media speculation.

I’ve have always been a Chicago sports fan. I was born there and most of my family lived there so I was brought up to like Chicago sports.  My family is kind of divided,   My mom was a SOX fan since they used to go see the play. My uncles family is half Cubs half Sox.   Never hated the Sox, just picked the Cubs for some reason.   Been a hockey fan since the late 80s and obviously had to maintain allegiance to Chicago.

... I hear ya, Chicago is such a great sports city. I was obviously a huge Bulls fan but when Krause replaced Jackson and dismantled the team I stopped watching and never went back. Thankfully the Suns re-ignited my NBA interest. Gonna take a lot to give up on the Bears though as they are just in my blood after watching them for 45 years.

This is an exceptionally tough stretch of games to be a Bears fan.  Maybe next week against winless Denver can bring some fun.

... Thanks I am normally a homer and always optimistic, but until they replace Fields my confidence this team can even compete let alone win, will be at an all time low. From his slow wind up and release to his inaccuracy and complete inability to read a defense or understand his progressions or even just recognize an open receiver it has been a nightmare watching him flounder. This is his 3rd year and if anything he has gotten worse ion all those categories.

I could not tell from the video whether he was willing to take on the male or female golfer I think either one would have at least won the mental challenge. 

The last time I lost a golf ball to a thief, was on a golf course in Pennsylvania where a german shepherd ran from the yard and snatched the ball and took to his female owner.  Of course she denied it but, I also noticed she was selling balls out of her back yard.  What a business as long as the dog's teeth don't cause a few extra dimples.

Pretty remarkable that Josh Allen is at #7 after his pathetic performance in game 1 at the Jets.

Also, surprising that Jalen Hurts is at #29, although he has only played two games with game #3 coming tonight on MNF.

Again, a 3 game sample (only 2 for a few guys) so it's a little early and things will settle out but back to Fields.

I think he's not really playing on instinct. That's what he started doing at the end of the season last year when he had a few good games in a row. Maybe the offense is too complicated? Maybe he's not a pocket passer? Maybe he's not good at reading defenses? ... he finished 3rd in Heisman voting so he must have it in him somewhere.

... To be honest, I have never been a big fan of ESPN's Total QBR because too many factors are involved that I just don't agree with. A QB playing man coverage when the pocket breaks down and gains 40 yds because the defense is running away from him with their backs turned is a meaningless stat imo. I Ould love to see a ranking that took things into account like picks bouncing off receivers hands, Hail Mary's and throwing the ball away when the protection breaks down.

... I think playing in the NFL has to be a combination of instinct and reading defenses while going through your progressions very quickly. Fields spent most of high school and college basically playing sandlot football where you run at will and throw to open WR's. In the NFL you have to anticipate throws (really college and high school too for elite QB's) and often throw open receivers that look like they are covered. After 3 years it is abundantly clear Fields simply does not have that mental ability and makes his best throws when his primary WR is wide open ... if he even sees them because every game WR's are constantly wide open and Fields just doesn't see them.

... College is just so different and rewards skills irrelevant to the NFL. Best example I can think of is Tim Tebow. GREAT college player, but a terrible NFL QB and he of course won the Heisman.
