Looking to purchase new irons soon.

These bad boys felt the best last time I was at the fitter.

Anyone gaming these?

Yes. And loving them.

They're excellent and consistent irons. Anything specific that you need to know?

@bens197Thanks for the reply,

How are the lofts? Currently playing Callaway Apex/ Pro 14's. I'm a Mid Capper

I can have inconsistent strike patterns but love to feel my "many" misses.

Was thinking of going to a game improvement, but can't stand not being able to feel the face strike location.

Could use the extra distance too, but don't want to lose spin...

Lofts are exactly where I want them to be.  Distances are consistent across he face and I have not found a hot portion where I may get an occasional flyer.  Now, a toe miss will definitely fly shorter and lower for me than a centered strike but that’s not uncommon for any iron.

I believe this Mizuno set is true to what they set out to accomplish.  It’s taken the tech from the JPX line and made a wonderful iron with the traditional MP design.  Fast but not GI fast.  Mizuno feel without compromising head size and shape.

I’ve also been pleased with how they feel and perform when considering the 8-P are GF forged and the 4-7 are Chromoly.  Nothing that makes me believe I am playing a mixed set of clubs.

Have been gaming them for a while now and they are a solid choice.

Previously I used MP-20 HMBs, which I was very happy with. There was the occasional "jumper" that could lead to some small inconsistencies, but nothing too crazy.

Had a deal for a free fitting, but wasn't really looking to buy anything. Unfortunately the numbers the 223's were SIGNIFICANTLY  more consistent than what I was seeing from my own irons.

I say unfortunately because of $, but they've been great for me. When I looked at the soles of the clubs next to the MP-20 HMBs they were basically the same size, which would indicate comparable forgiveness, but the spin and carry numbers were much tighter (for me anyway).
