I'm looking to purchase a set of Vokey wedges with the Jet Black finish. Looking for some pictures on the wear of the black finish and the amount of time/rounds you've played them. Or any other experience with black finished wedges or irons you've had.

Thanks!

Golf is the best sport to be bad at.

No personal experience owning/playing dark finish irons, only going off pictures/feedback from those who have (many from this forum), but all these finishes will get burnished/discolored.  If seeing that on your clubs will bother you, best stay with hard chrome or satin finishes.  My G400 3w, 5w and to a much lesser extent, driver all have finish wear.  With as much use as wedges get, particularly on the range... something to consider.

I've had mine for a year or so and don't really play a ton out of the sand, not because I avoid them, but because a lot of local courses don't have big bunkers. My 56 is the most used, then 52, then 60.

Probably not the best pics to help with your decision, but I was just doing this same research myself because I wanted to replace my 56 with a 54, I ended up going with brushed steel just to switch things up. The jet black finish does wear pretty quick any place there is turf/ball interaction. A few bunker shots though, and the black finish is done for. The wear doesn't necessarily bother me, but to each their own. I've seen a few posts of people stripping the black SM9s as well, instead of paying the upcharge for raw, and it turns into a cookies n' cream sorta finish... looks kinda cool.

I purchased a Sub 70 JB wedge in black. Satin wasn’t available at the time. I don’t want to say I am OCD but after a while the finish was gone on the sole and the impact area and it bothered me. I found that gun metal blueing covered those blemishes easily. Obviously there are different shades of black used by the club manufacturers. But this worked for me.
