Idea: New Ryder Cup Style Event

I have been thinking about this idea for a few years and with the Ryder Cup coming up I figured this would be the best time to throw it out there. 

I think an event where the men's team and the women's team merge and play an international event would be awesome to watch. Obviously not to replace the Ryder Cup, and not even to replace the Presidents Cup, but have a similar format to that, maybe in the same year as the Presidents Cup. 

To watch Lexi Thompson, and Nelly Korda, Danielle Kang, etc team up with Brooks, and Scottie, Speith, etc I think would be entertaining to watch. And maybe you do make it USA vs the World - So Brooke Henderson, Lydia Ko with Rory, and Rahm. 

The format, and the course length, etc would all have to be worked out details wise, but I am sure they could figure that out quite easily. I think it could grow the game, it would certainly grow the LPGA tour. 

Would this be something anyone else would watch, or too far fetched?

I’d rather just skip the men part and watch international Crown and the Solheim cup for team competitions.  I don’t personally need to see them competing together.   If you want mixed events, there is a DP/LET event held yearly and in December the Grant Thornton Invitational will start.
