I'm interested!! But how will virtual match play work? I'm not sure I follow how a person/team may concede a hole if we are all virtual.

There are aspects to a true match play that won't be able to be used (such as conceding a hole), but from a hole by hole scoring standpoint... we can still award a point per hole for each win.  Resulting in a different aspect than stroke play.  (a team can have a blow up hole, but only costs them a point for that hole, rather than the number of strokes delta).  It isn't perfect, but designed to be a fun team event.  Glad you are up for playing.

Will it need to be a regular par 72 course so we can match up 5s/4s/3s?

Do we match up the par 3s and 5s separate rather than go by hole number? Maybe it doesn’t matter since it will all work out in the end?

Similar to the VCT scoring.  But with hole by hole matches, each hole has it's own handicap for the course you are playing, so that will dictate what each hole's net score is.  Then the 2person best ball portion will be comparing the hole by hole for the 2 person team net... which will then be compared to the opposing team's best net score on each hole to determine that hole winner.  Lots of churn... but hey... what else do we have to do???  haha.

The way we will probably do it is not by net score... but by net comparison to par.  So Net E, or Net -1, or Net +1 to par.  So it wouldn't matter if it is a par 3 or 4 or 5.  just match up Team A's best net score to par vs. Team B's best net score to par on each hole.  

My partner in crime is @Golf2Much who has graciously offered to help run the scoring aspect... so Norm - please feel free to weigh in and correct anything I may say wrong.  But I think in general, it will run the same way the previous 2person best ball tourney's ran... except this time... instead of playing against a leaderboard, it is a series of team challenges through match play.
