We want to hear how many different brands you have played in 2023. Golf balls, clubs, gloves, bags and shoes. List out the brands that have made it as part of your gear at some point in time or another thoughtout the season! 

To get us kicked off I will throw out my list.... Be warned its long!

Cool thread - I’ve been transitioning my bag this year so here goes:

This after a very stable year last year. Wedges remain a huge issue for me. The Indi’s are showing promise but they’ve yet to make me forget the SCORs, those wedges just fit me and constantly send out their sirens cry from the corner of my study. 
 

Also I’ve move away from the Pro V1x - that’s been traumatic.

NOTE: In each row, the first brand (or brands in the case of Fairways/Hybrids) is what I am currently playing, with the exception of my wedges. I played first-generation Edison wedges (44, 49, 54, and 59 degree, or at a minimum the 54 and 59 degree models) until about a month ago. However, the most-used of those Edison wedges have become too worn in the sweet spots, so I put a pair of ancient Scratch wedges in the bag until my set of three new Edison 2.0 wedge heads arrive next week. I will be assembling these wedges myself at 48, 53 and 58 degrees of loft with 63* to 63.5* lie angles and with progressive weight KBS TGI graphite wedge shafts of 90-100 grams.

As you can tell, when I find something that works, I stick with it! Had previously played my Ben Hogan irons for 14-15yrs. Replaced the shafts in them 2x, but loved the heads. I usually test drivers at the beginning of each year & in the middle of each year. But I haven’t been able to find anything that outperforms my Epic Flash. I haven’t really messed with fairway woods, as my TM fits my gaps perfectly. I will be changing out my wedges after this season. Try to get 2 seasons out of them, but sometimes I don’t. PUTTING is what I tinker with the most. But that’s mostly what I do, tinker. Never really put anything in play. I’ve played my SC long neck, since around 98, when I got it. Now sure, I’ve switched putters throughout the years & tried many, but usually always come back to it. I did upgrade the shaft in it to a Fujikura MC Putter Shaft x-firm & I really enjoy it! Shoes have mostly been FJ from day 1. Have had some Nikes throughout the years, but I just like FJ. I typically don’t play with a glove on, unless it’s extremely hot, which it has been this year. Then I use FJ gloves. I was selected to do a review for a Mizuno BR-D2 bag late last year/early this year. Have played that all year. Excellent bag to walk with! Recently won a SM tour bag in a tourney, and will be switching to that. I generally ride, rarely walk. So I like having bigger bags, with more storage.

Haven’t really swapped clubs a lot in my lifetime. My entire set of clubs are Ping right now. First “Boxed” set of clubs were Wilson 1200LT but after that I’ve taken hand me down Pings until I bought my own Ping i3s. Been playing since the age of 12. 42 years of golf and I can finally play year round now so I might branch out and try new stuff at my next fitting. Have gone down from a 25+ handicap when I started playing in the South down to a 15 in a years and a half.  So needs will change as I hopefully continue to improve. But I  will give Ping the shot they deserve.
