Wedge set up

My two cents worth, With a normal swing, I need my wedges to hit a reliable distance on a consistent basis, knowing that distance will allow you to determine the setup that works best for you.

Just bought a new set that comes with an approach wedge(50 degrees).  Wondering if it’s worth getting a 52 degree along with a 56 and a 60 OR just getting a 54 and a 58.

Logically going from 50 to 52 doesn’t make sense, but lofts are just numbers on a club. You really need to hit them to see how they perform and fill distance gaps.   Often set wedges spin less than specialty wedges so you may need closer loft numbers to get the right gapping.

Nobody can say what to get. Some people need 3° separation to achieve their gapping, some need 6°

The only way to figure it out is test various lofts and see what gets your gapping correct.

Another option that comes with some caution is buy wedges with 4° or 6° gaps, test them and then have them bent to what you need. The caution comes in that bending will affect bounce in a 1:1 relation with loft change.

100%. My 47 degree set PW to my RTX6 52 degree gives me about a 20 yard gap on a full swing, 52-56 and 56-60 are closer to 12. Planning to add another wedge to fill the gap here soon. Once I do, I'll hit them a couple times, then bend a degree here and there to even out the gaps.

I think you have the answer from everyone above...there isn't one true answer except to get fitted. 🤣

My i525's actually have a PW with a 45deg loft so I do carry a 52/56/60 and these four can get me all the way from 150yds in. Think about what the others said, it's all about filling your gaps/yardages to suit your game.
