Thank you! It is on the shorter side, but the course has always fit my eye. I don’t play there as often as I used to, but I still enjoy it when I do.

Yes, I've shot a 78 before - in a Member/Guest with my dad at Palmira (his club in Bonita Springs, Florida) a couple of year ago. Needless to say, we ran away with the hardware....and they called my club to verify my rounds/handicap 

Beautiful late summer day in Indiana. Played hooky from work (I'm salary, so no big deal) with the guys in the morning choose. I do use a ShotScope watch, so I decided to just play to the 'middle of the green' yardage instead of shooting pins & see how the round went. I did take a tune-up lesson early in the year to knock the annual rust off (we usually have a 4-month hiatus for winter here in Indiana).

Mind you - I just celebrated 18 months of sobriety. Golf seems easier when I'm not drinking a fifth of rum the night before. Hell, life seems easier.....

Was sitting at 2 under with 3 holes to play. And I'm kicking myself hard, went bogey, bogey, dbl to finish. Went from 3rd place to tied for 10th. Not bad for a freshman on varsity, playing against 5 other schools, but I let one slip today! Oh well, tourney next week at a course I love!

After a disheartening Bills loss last night, I could hardly get to bed.  That was compounded by having to get up at 5:20 am to administer the men's league this morning.  I had extremely low expectations to say the least.  I was proven wrong!

I had my best round today since mid-January!  

No doubles on the card.  I "only" hit 71% of the fairways, but hit three greens in regulation (up by 50%).  I had six up and downs and only 26 putts (including ten one-putt greens).  My chipping and approach shots were on today!  On 18 I hit an OK drive, a decent 5 wood and was 175 yards out on the closing par 5.  The hole is guarded by water on the right and jetting out partially in front of the green.   I usually lay up, but today I pulled the five wood out again and put it on the green 13 feet from the pin!  I proceeded to lip out the birdie, but "settled" for a par and a 79. 

I was on the DL for week one of the match play tournament.  Hopefully this score will keep me on the team for another week.
