Lots of positives, but a few silly errors kept this from being the round I check off some personal goals.

3 putted the 1st par 3 I came to to turn birdie into bogey. Got a double bogey via the sand trap on the 2nd par 3 I played. 

Still managed a respectable score in spite of only making an 8' putt for par and no others outside 5'.

1st of 2 rounds today.  Got out early finished in under 2.5 hours.  Round was good (1 double  and especially no 3 putts).  Left a few birdies on the course, 4 putts inside 8 feet, made 1, but could make 10-15 putts to save par.  Had a great sand save on 4 and made par with 2 putts on 9 which is GREAT for me on that hole (396 uphill the whole way, about 25 degree incline tee to green)

Round 2 today,  playing with my normal group that can’t get up early for golf.  From the white tees. They got to the course to warm up as I was finishing 18, LOL.  Three days practicing this week and only one round during the week was paying off (Handicap is moving in the right direction, finally).  Putting was really good, while I may still be directionally challenged on picking the right line speed and roll were much improved.  Got around the course without a double or worse and no 3 putts again, very happy with that.  Score could have been better, but I managed play better, no hero shots ALL DAY.

Oh cool! Thank you. I'm glad I got ONE good score this year because I don't know how much golfing I'll be able to do to close out this year because we are expecting our first kid in January, are trying to keep a woodworking/craft business afloat, and will be busy going to UNO hockey games here in a couple weeks.

For sure! If you're looking for a good group to play with around the Omaha area, check out Victory Tour on Facebook. There's about 45 or 50 of us that play 10-15 handicapped stroke events during the year (April-August). Trophies and points for each tournament and you don't get stuck playing the same course week after week. Best part is most events you can play on your own time during the week (events run Mon-Sun) as long as you're playing with another member. Just completed my 3rd season and it's been great!
