Joe4488
I bought a tensei/callaway shaft off eBay and when removing the tip there is a rubber weight looking thing that protrudes out of the shaft about a quarter of an inch, what is this? It weighs 1 gram. Is it just a weight? Edited September 27 by Joe4488

It s a tip weight which is used to add weight to the head side of the club. when building a club it is used instead if lead tape on the clubhead https://www.thediygolfer.com/blog/how-to-tip-weight-a-golf-club Rtracymog 1 Quote Driver: G400 Max 9* w/ KBS Tour Driven Fairway: TS3 15* w/Project X Hzardous Smoke Hybrids: 915H 21* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype 915H 24* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype Irons: TR20V 6-11 w/Vizard TR20-85 Graphite Wedge: 54/12D, 60/8M w/:Accra iWedge 90 Graphite Putter: TM-180 Testing: Backups: Milled Collection RSX 2, mFGP2, Futura 5W Member: MGS Hitsquad since 2017
release
Yes, a tip weight for graphite shaft. It gets loose when you pull the adaptor. I would not epoxy it into the tip of the shaft if you're thinking of reusing the shaft sometime down the road. It's good as long as not rattling. McGolf
If it has the rubber feel is it probably the tungsten tip weight which runs about 10 grams with out any epoxy.
