Beautiful sunny day.  Stayed below 50°F the whole time.  Had a wind from the South our East all afternoon at about 15-20mph.  Did much better with putting this time, and managed to do well in the sand when I found it.  Managed to dunk one ball with a top off the tee on 12.  Second shot was just short of the green for a front pin, so not terrible.  Two strokes were total wiffs off the tee where I hit a full 16-18" behind the ball.  Fatigue had set in by the back 9 and I lost all composure and was just hacking at the ball.    

I also lost a ball on hole 5 where there was no business not finding it.  Plenty of trouble on the left, but I hit it right into the trees.  They are very open without any real hiding places.  Either a squirrel grabbed it, or it disappeared down a burrow that I missed.

Week 30 Final Recap

For most of the membership the weather has taken a turn for the cold. We had 26 rounds submitted this week. 

Low Net Score & Most Net Birdies

This Week @Jnoble89 had a personal best round of 81, that went taken into account with his course handicap of 20, resulted in an impressive net -11 61. As well as, netting 13 birdies. Well Done Jason!

     

 

Low Gross Score

There was a 3 way tie for low gross this week with @Cfhandyman, @Randall Robbins, & @vandyland all carding 1 over par rounds. Nice shooting Fellas!

 

      

 

Longest Drive

This week's big bomb was turned in by @J7Hawkins. He sent one 357 down range. Well done!

Also of note:

Starting in Week 31, there will be a virtual option in the drop down box when submitting your score. For those that are unable to play outdoors, we are now accepting simulator virtual rounds for the VCT. There are numerous options, as to where these rounds can be played, including through Rapsodo MLM2Pro, Garmin R10, Trackman, Uneekor, Top Tracer Range, Trackman Range, etc. We feel this is an exciting way to allow Members to keep posting scores and accumulating points all winter long. However, there is one caveat, all virtual rounds are to be entered as gross scores with no handicap index added. For example, if you shoot an 83 at Pebble Beach virtually, then you will enter an 83 into the VCT with your course handicap as 0. Please send me a DM, if you have any questions or comments.

I remember cold - that's when the temps got below 35 - made it tough to play, especially if there was any wind, but one nice thing was the ground was usually hard and gave you more yards obviously, I don't have that problem now....

Thanks man! Was an awesome feeling for sure. Was a front 9 on Monday and back 9 on Tuesday so while I wish it was consecutive 18, still a massive accomplishment for me. Also a good chance it was my final round of the year so went out on a high note into 2024!

Thanks @jdparker! Wind was heavy last week so there were a few holes where you could really get ahold of one!
