Some Champagne and a special birth year wine to celebrate my daughter's 18th.

 

Andre Clouet Grande Reserve NV, great Champagne, beautiful mouth feel and balance between delicacy and power.

The Mount Mary Quintet 2000 was absolutely stunning, one of the best wines I've drunk. Amazingly youthful for an 18 year old wine, middle weight, still with some primary fruit and fine tannins, with a real wow factor from the bottle development. Worst part was I had to share it with an extra number

Toured Town Branch Distillery yesterday and acquired a bottle of their 4 yr old....file-E1BB2390-2152-445F-8275-81BC52AEE7E5-23709-00001000B2A5D24C.jpg. They said the bottles come from France but the Bourbon is 100% Kentucky.

Lunch for my kids “Godfathers” birthday. He brought out some big guns.

 

Penfolds Grange Shiraz 1997

Henschke Cyril Cabernet Sauvignon 2008. Followed up with a Taylor's Vintage Port 1967, I was the only one there younger than it.

 

A great lunch, Alan (the gf) has Parkinson's but is going the best he has in years due to a medication pump. Wonderful to see him close to his old self.
