You’re not kidding. Also add Paddy to that list.

As far as one that really surprised me...Proper Twelve is fantastic.

This will go down smoothly tonight

After a brutal day consisting of 8 hours of telecoms, I had a few of these last night! Smoothest stout I’ve ever had. Plus, you get to watch people’s reactions when you invert the bottle on the pour.

Definitely a quality dram. I've learned over many years... too many...lol, of drinking whisk(e)y that there is no best... just different.

I’ll give you that. However, in my current collection of 22 whisk(e)ys The Quiet Man won the best in show for taste even over some MUCH more expensive single malt scotch’s. But like you said, they are just different and I find that my preferences can change from day to day.

But one constant remains, I don’t like Islays...

I am pretty close to that number of bottles as well although this whole Corona thing has limited my ability to grow my collection or keep it from finishing some bottles off.

The other thing I can say after many years in the hobby... don't confuse price with quality. I have spent a lot of money just to be unimpressed in the past...lol. these days I will rarely spend more than $60.00 on a bottle. Most of the time I purchase staple whiskeys that I've come to like that are around $20.00 - $35.00.

I feel that, my collection is down to 19 now. I finished off the Quiet Man, Dimple Pinch and a Crown Royal. I haven’t hit the more expensive stuff as much. I think tonight might be something in the rye category...

I was never a tequila guy then I opened a tequila bar at the casino and I got educated. There is a difference between tequila and good tequila. I was educated in the good, great and unaffordable tequila range.

Here's what you want. I like the Blanco and Reposado. Both over the rocks. I'm pimping for a board member who distills -bottles-and imports it.

Not exactly cheap but you'll thank me. BTW - this isn't anywhere close to that old rotgut Jose Cuervo or Patron. And it's hangover proof! Sip away and enjoy. 🏌️‍♂️
