I would never think to use vodka. Whiskey, yes. It was okay vodka was neutral which is why I chose it. Maybe a a bourbon with chocolate creamer would be better. I did it for breakfast the other day between my nights and it was better probably because I used less vodka. I preferred the Ilegal Mezcal Joven a little more myself, and I am pretty sure it is a lower cost. Only mezcal I’ve had was this, was very hard to find any in Alabama where I live. Will have to be on the lookout moving forward for that.
