Addicted2Golf
Every model like this: Only difference was you could custom fit the customer for lie and length. Hard to believe the same company made that putter and the one in the thread. Matt Saternus
Isn't that screaming to the world that you like show tunes. Just saying... My take: If I'm rocking a Sound of Music HC, love show tunes, and I'm still whipping your @$$, then you're the one with the problem, not me! A2G - To be clear, that's not directed at you, but rather the people I play with. Follow me on Twitter: @MattSaternus

Addicted2Golf
Sorry. I was never in the First Tee program, so I missed the whole "no @$$ whipping in golf" thing. I've definitely wup some a$$ on the golf course. Since I drink Guinness, I play under R&A Rules. I think there is definitely something in that rule book, except they call it "arse kicking". Matt Saternus
LOL. I should have just waited for your response above. I agree with you though. My kids already know that stuff. Its called parenting... I am somewhat inclined to agree with this...just a little. I do find the commercials to be a bit much, as if kids have nowhere else to learn those values. That said, lots of kids don't have those values, so if somebody is going to teach them, awesome. Follow me on Twitter: @MattSaternus
jamo
Do tell. I don't have time on this earth to waste... I never did the first tee, my parents taught me all that stuff, and I before 8th grade I rarely played, and mostly only during summer vacation. If you teach them life lessons yourself, I think normal golf lessons will suffice, but I don't want to tell you how to raise your kids, it's just my opinion. I don't think First Tee is a waste of time, far from it, but they might actually accept life lessons from you more than a golf instructor.

As I think about this more, it's probably not a bad idea to have multiple people reinforcing basic good values. I think it's also true that some kids are going to be more likely to listen to a coach, or someone like that, than their parents, at least at a certain age.
