Why aren't we playing?

It's Saturday afternoon around 3 and I see a number of guys listed as online whom I know of as good players. Why aren't we out playing right now?

 

My execuse is that I had a heart cath yesterday and the doctor told me to take the weekend off from golf and from work - In exchange I got him to tell my wife that I should play more golf!!!!!! :)

 

So, it's off to Madagascar 3 with my 10 year old before settling in to watch the final groups tee off for me.

Answer is pretty easy for me. Tiger is winning a U.S. Open. No way in hell I'm missing this. Also it was almost 100 degrees outside and I didn't feel like getting a heat stroke Lol.

107° right now, but the reason that I didn't go to the range was that I just bought a bunch of good beer that I had to get on ice for POOL TIME!!!!

Played 9 this morning - the rest got rained out. Doing the graduation party circuit this afternoon...so many buffet lines, so little time.

107? Worse than here! Cool beaner's Rookie I'm medically cleared for all activities as of this Monday. That would include alcohol on the course -

 

Oh and for those with young kids Madacascar 3 was predictable but funny for the kids - my daughter and grandkids loved it - got home just in time to watch the penultimate group tee off.

This was a road trip weekend. I told the guys I was availible for whenever they set the tee time. So, I had to get up a 5 am. to go with them to play golf. Two of them had to do something this afternoon. By 3pm I had spent two hours riding in a car, had lunch, played 18 holes of golf and was resting comfortably in bed. I just left my computer on.

I am not a morning person, but I did have my first beer at 7:45.

 

Actually, I parred holes 1, 15, 16. birdies on 17 and 18 and the rest were evenly split between bogies and doubles. The strong finish limited my losses to $5. I was down $30+ after the 14th hole.

 

Tomorrow, we play at 10:30. I do not do well early in the mornings.

I was actually on here off and on as I was playing in my tournament that took 7.5 friggin hours to play 18 holes. Shot -1 over the first 3.5 hours, +13 over the last 4+ hours. It was ridiculous and if I hadn't paid $80 to enter, I'd have walked off. I'm T3 in my flight though and get to play early tomorrow, so hopefully it will be better.

Because I was on a business trip from Mon to Fri and really needed some sleep! When I woke up, I figured the course would be so crowded, I would probably have to do a 6 hour round. So I didn't want to waste my time there when I could stay home resting and watching Tiger play.

Good luck to everyone today - It's funny - For obvious reasons I never play on Sunday morning, I'm always working - I'm off today Doctor's orders, went to bed late last night - around midnight but here I am up at 4:30 as is customary on Sunday morning - go figure - I can sleep in for one of the few Sundays ever and I'm up before the sun -

I've played blades for years RP. It just that I've recently moved (countries) and didn't bring my old clubs with me. No doubt I'll pick up another set sometime. I'm not really missing playing yet.
