Popular Post GolfSpy_APH
We had a conversation as staff a little while back about when we can normally play. For me I normally have time mornings after I finish my first portion of work. I can get in early, get a round in and be back for my next section of the work day. @GolfSpy SAM has his Friday golfing and also has a tighter window due to kid pickup/drop offs Are you a weekend golfer? Twilight round golfer? Retired so anytime all the time? Or something in between? What makes it easier for you to fit golf into your schedule? Do you schedule it out so it is set or is it on a whim? sirchunksalot, Willie T, GolfSpy_SHARK and 8 others 8 2 1 Quote as of Nov 6, 2023 (Past WITB) Driver: Paradym TD w/ GD ADDI 6X Driver Shootout! Popular Post Josh Parker
During the week, I play in the mornings. If we have my son (week on/off) then I go after taking him to school and if not, first daylight. On the weekends I play with my group in the afternoons. I actually prefer to play in the mornings because the pace of play is set by me, and I can finish a round in two hours or take my time. Cfhandyman
Tend to prefer the morning shift as usually you can get your round in quickly, but during the heat of the summer, have found the evening shift, aka twilight is quite pleasant. Temperatures and humidity often better, still can play quickly and at a discount to boot. tsheaffer23
The guys I usually play with are the first groups off at our home course. During the summer our first tee time is 6:00 a.m., we are the dew sweepers of our course. On Sunday's I usually play early afternoon after church and play in a golf league during the week that usually tees off a bit before 5 p.m. I do prefer early mornings as we're not held up by any other groups, we usually have 12-16 total guys each Saturday morning and is great to be done by no later than 10 a.m. each Saturday. ParFore74x
I’m off work between 1:30 & 2:30 during the week and could go right after work Mon-Thur, I leave Friday open for my wife in case she wants to go do something. Teeing off at this time puts me in a window where I do not usually have to wait to tee off and most of the time I do not get hung up behind anyone. If I can tee off by 2pm, I can walk 18 and still be home by 5-5:30 just in time for supper. Weekends are sunrise rounds. These are usually solo or maybe one other person and I generally tee off about 15-20 minutes before sunrise. Each of the courses that I play have a hole into the sun around sunrise and I try to get my tee shot off on those holes before it’s blinding me on the tee box. drb1956
Still working full time, and don't get off early enough most days to even go to the range. So, it's the weekends. Usually, I don't like playing prime time on Saturday, as the courses are packed, but if I do, it's a later tee time like 2pm, or even later in mid summer. Sunday afternoon is when I like to play, and again later in the day, as most players are done, except for a handful of us.. When I retire in the not so distant future, I will play more golf during the week, and maybe join a seniors league... aaronsteph11
I usually play Wednesday mornings. I work 4 day work week with Wednesday being my day off. Get daughter on the bus at 7am and then can head out. I don’t usually play the same course all the time so what tee time is usually dependent on how far I have to drive. I do get some rounds in on the weekend if my daughter goes to a friends house for the day or grandparents. I definitely prefer my Wednesday mornings as pace of play is much slower on the weekends.
