SteveKay72
My first time was back in 1997 when I treated my Dad to a round at Wentworth West Course in the UK. Back then it cost £350 each and we saw Retief Goosen's porsche in the parking lot. William P, KC Golf and Golf2Much 3 Quote Steve Link to comment

I live about 10 miles away and have friends on the staff and I often get passes and vouchers. Don't have any right now but I should be able to help you out by then. Also after 2pm that time of year I think it's 85 bucks for all you can play and I have played as few as 15 holes on the deal and as many as 24 so it all depends the speed of the groups ahead and your speed. Some of the most daunting tee shots you will ever see and the sod tiered bunkers (bomb craters) require a player have a sand game!! Often if standing on the green with partner green side bunker he will not be visible that's how deep and steep they are. Thanks for offering! I'll be sure to send you a message once things get more finalized for us! VernL4
Personally, I never have paid more than $100 for a round of golf. In my area I usually pay $30 or $40 for 18 holes with a cart. The most I have ever paid was $65. The guys I played with said it was a pretty good deal for the area. Being near Chicago meant the green fees were higher than here at home in Indiana. On a different occasion, a friend of a friend had a party at a golf club where her dad was a member. Green fees were normally $75 there. I played a round for free because I was a guest of his. Honestly, I am not good enough to be able to enjoy a round that is expensive. I spend too much time in the woods and water. Maybe someday when I have better shot control I will graduate to the $100+ green fees. Maybe. William P and Golf2Much 2 Quote M6 clubs in the bag and a GARMIN Fenix 7 on the wrist! Link to comment

peterg2000
2009 Jumeirah Golf Estates(Fire course) in Dubai, while visiting my daughter. $140 and worth it as the course was in great shape and I played beautifully. I shot 80. I went back 2-3 days later and my son-in-law struck a deal with the pro for a lesson and a round for $125 on the Jumeirah Golf Estates (Earth Course). After being twisted and contorted by the pro I ended up with shooting over 100. I tried to forget what he tried on me , but couldn't et back in a groove. Went back in 2012 and this time played the Emirates Golf Club (Faldo Course) at night and didn't lose many balls even in the rough.. Was quite the experience that had the backdrop of skyscrapers on several holes. For a non alcoholic country the 2 six packs an special at the turn was quite nice. Score started to bottom out then but the experience was fantastic. But seems to me the night round was $100 even! Plus only $18 for each six pack. Chris Uggiano
For me, I believe I paid around $110 to play the Magnolia course at Walt Disney World about 10 years ago. I love playing when we go (about 6 times a a year). I play all four courses now and belong to the WDW golf Players club. All the courses there are in great shape and player friendly. I have played courses that were well over $100 a round but I didn't have to pay it. I haven't either. Assume it will happen at some point. There are some bucket list places I know will cost over $100, but if it's not on the list I'll avoid it if at all possible. Lots of great golf options for under $50 and I am in favor of volume golf. Lvhawks3
I've payed over $100 many times and would have to say it was worth it almost all the time. I most recently played 7 rounds in SW Ireland last year and all were over $100. William P and Golf2Much 2 Quote Link to comment
AndySP
I haven’t yet paid over $100. I have played a few courses that cost that much when I played high school team golf, and more recently for work events, but to be honest it’s not really something that excites me. The special course designs, nice clubhouses and the other extras haven’t brought me any additional joy. I think I can appreciate why some people like it, but I don’t see myself doing it anytime soon. I still have so much fun at the municipal courses around me. William P 1 Quote g430 lst TS2 20* hybrid, New Level PF-2: P-7; 902: 6-5 hi-toe 51* and 57* M Craft IV Link to comment
