But what phone are you using and why? Do you like it or are you looking to upgrade? I have a Pixel 6Pro and love it. It's older, but it works and had a great camera. can't really ask for much more. Downside is the fast charging is not fast. My Oppo that I had before would do 80% in 20 minutes and this Pixel is a good hour plus. taylorjonasher
I'm an android (pixel) user and have been always outside of a few Samsung phones. I really enjoy the pixel phones, as they are as bare bones as you want them be. My work apps exist in the Google ecosystem, and it's always integrated seamlessly. I started in the pixel world with the Nexus, then pixel 2, 4, 5, 6, and now 7. Android Auto sucks and is so bad that I'm close to jumping ship over to apple, as I spent a fair amount of time in the car and voice commands should be removed from AA because the recognition is so terrible. sirchunksalot
I just upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra a couple of months ago. I'm an Android loyalist I guess because they're what's comfortable to me. I do get a bit frustrated at the fact a lot of apps are only compatible with iOS, but from what I understand it's a simpler platform for developers to work on. I have been a Samsung Galaxy guy from the start and for awhile got a new one every other year until like everything the prices went stupid. So now I tend to wait like two years and buy the latest and greatest "new in open box" off Ebay for 300 or so. Iam currently using the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and it has been hands down a gem of a phone only drawback I can think of is I didn't buy two. I have dropped these phones onto cement off a roof in the water etc etc and have never broken one and iam the biggest klutz and breaker of everything glass but not these. I think as someone else said it's all in what your used to but I will say this my friends with Iphones break them, don't get more than two years out of them, have to pay for all the apps and they generally seem to have issues?? VernL4
I made the switch from Apple to Android a few year back and wish I had done it sooner. There are so many things that iPhone can not (or will not let you) do. I currently have a Pixel 6. I love the clean, pure version of Android. There is so much control over what the phone does, how it works, and how it looks. It's very easy and dependable. My wife just switched to Android in 2023. She was complaining about how there were so many problems with Apple. Dropped calls, texts not sending/receiving, apps freezing, etc. I told her that I have not had any of those problems since I switched. She now agrees with me on all of these points. I don't really consider myself as having any semblance of a speech impediment or indiscernible diction, and yet AA redirects voice commands to unrelated functions or calls the wrong person nearly half the time. I've bypassed the AA commands and use the vehicle (chevrolet) voice commands for calling as it is probably 95% accurate. Rob Person
I'm an android user. I TRIED the iPhone 10? that my son had as an interim phone awhile back and absolutely loathed that brick. I've had LG, Motorola, pixel, Samsung. I went from the motoZ phone to a Samsung. 100x faster in all regards. Just upgraded to the 23ultra+ when we switched carriers. The voice to text is the only horrible part about it for me. It absolutely obliterates the spellings and context of anything I say, even simple Google searches. Shrek74
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G. It's 3 years old now, but it's in like new condition and works just fine for me. I use a nice case, plus I applied a liquid screen protector when I got it.I've been with Samsung for as far back as I can remember (Galaxy S4 Active is the oldest I can recall). I tried an iPhone 12 Pro Max first, but I just hated it. I have an iPad Pro 12.9 (1st gen), and everything that bugs me about it was just magnified 100x it felt like.So I went back to Samsung, and that's where I'll be staying for the future. To me, it's very user friendly and very tech focused. Most of what an iPhone has was in a Samsung a couple years first.I'm looking to ditch my iPad and 8 year old Lenovo Yoga and replace them both with a Tab S9 ultra. SliceBoss
Since Blackberry’s rapid exit, I’m an Apple guy. I always will be due to the ease of using Apple CarPlay. It allows me seamless transition between vehicles and motorcycle. I’ve had Android dating back to T-Mobile’s release of the G1 around OCT 2008. Made the switch to Apple about 6-7 years ago and don’t plan to go back. Ease of use is really it for me.
