Doesn't sound like a horrible day!  It's all relative when playing at those temps.

36* is bad start sometimes you can never get loose.

FL should be back to normal Monday and our “week of winter” will be over!

Didn't play today but just found out... I got asked to play with a group at Silverado tomorrow in Napa! Just want to let all the frozen spies out there from places like, not California, I will post plenty of pics for you and sip a piña colada pool side in your honor.

First time out this year yea!! 47* at tee time was supposed to be 60*, they lied again . Anyway 41 front 42 back for 83 not bad for 3 doubles. Lots of pars no birds. Great morning to be out and smackin the ball around.

First time out this year as well, it's been crazy at work and then wet conditions for the past few days kept me out. I want to get back out on the course so I took my light set out with only 7 clubs and tried to get my game back into grove.

I think it went well, many shots put a smile on my face and I felt myself doing a mini fist pump. I didn't check but I think I shot 77, which makes me quite happy. I played so few rounds last month I didn't have any kind of expectations.

Right now(3:00) its 48*, no sun & 16 mph wind. Doesn't work for me. I'll watch Wonderful World if Golf with Arnie playing Julius Boros in the Bahamas.

I used to windsurf over the Winter, but yeah that was many MANY years ago!!! Then we made a new rule:

» Temp + Windspeed must be greater than Age

(eg. Say you sail in 25 kts wind then if you're 60 the Temp must be at least 40°)

Like I said that was a loooong time ago. Will still (wave-) surf occasionally over the Winter, but wind must be close to non-existent. The basic formula here for me is water temp approx = time in the water (ie. the colder it is the shorter your surf sesh).

So in your golfing case.. I'm still under 64 so I might've tried it. But then probably also would've decided to sit on the couch and enjoy watching classic "Gentleman Julius"!

I played nine today with a friend as the weather was iffy at best. It was a drizzle chilly type day and we decided to cash in at the turn.  Surprisingly and a bit odd due to conditions, we both played exceptionally well today. If they rain had not began to get heavier we could have shot some good numbers. Oh well, we got out and scratched an itch.  ;)

I did take my clubs in for a good cleaning and washed my towels etc. I'll be clean and ready for the next pretty day on the horizon.

Played in some unsettled weather, wind changed direction every second hole, a few holes of solid rain, but at least it was warm. Had 80 playing off 6. 5 over on the front, can't work out how, I was all over the place. Hit it better on the back, but still only scored a bit better.

A mate playing off +1 struggled after not touching the clubs for 2 months to an ugly 3 under. His one bogey he missed a 2 foot putt. I should hate him, but he's a good bloke.

Played last week with a flu and shot 87, feel quite a bit better this week and shot 79, but at an easy track.

What was weird last week was a real difficulty hitting the sweet spot.

Got much closer yesterday, and finally started to hit a few crisply.

Aiming wasn't so good tho haha.

It's a damn fickle game...

Best round in a while for me. 36-37, 73

I had a tough double on the front nine that cost me a crack at shooting under par. Just missed a hole in one on 16. Made 4 birdies.

@Rick 5 at Bayou is exceedingly difficult - I barely missed the narrow green and the ball got repelled down a bank into a pond. On most courses/holes that same ball was hole high 25 feet.

Second time out by myself in the past 2-weeks-weather in Idaho this last couple of weeks has been chilly, but very playable. Did 18 today, front 9 with a father-son duo and then left alone for the back 9 with no one behind. Took my time and made a day of it. Pared all par-3's, had my fairway woods, hybrid and most irons singing for a change... My driver and putter were absent however..! Ah well, great day out there!

Played my 2nd time out this year today. 7:28 tee time a bit cool & foggy but quickly turned beautiful. 43 in front with 2 bad doubles, 40 on the back with a few good breaks for 83. Was a fun morning.

Meant to post this Saturday, but I had one of the best rounds I've had in a while.  It was rather boring with 15 pars, 2 bogies, and 1 birdie for a 73, but I'll definitely take it. I had several chances to roll in more birdies, but I couldn't get them to fall.  I really hit the ball well that day, though.

Not sure if it counts As an actual round. But the last two nights we had a closest to the target charity event at our TrackMan learning center. On pinehurst par 3 contest (167 par 3).For $10 a ball, I hit my best shot within 15 feet. The winner was 6” inches, and it was his first ball.Still a good cause and no winners or losers. But amazed the member did it on his first swing of the day

Keep it in the short stuff

I had a fun round today and took the most skins in my foursome so it was profitable too.  ;) The wind began gusting which made it a bit tough however I had 42 / 41 = 83 with a double on 18.

Had another messy round. Nothing was too bad, but nothing was too good either. Had 8 over with 2 doubles. Played a couple of really good bunker shots, only to miss the 4 foot putts. Only putt I made of any length was from 10 foot, but it was my 2nd! Had 2 40 footers finish less than 6 inches from the hole.

Weather was perfect, played with a different group to my normal Saturday group. Would have been nice if the golf was a bit better, but it was still a very enjoyable round.

Little cool this morning 47, not my favorite temperature as I layer up up s 5 year old. Somehow shot 81 (40-41) with 2 birdies one in each side. The G400 irons were working but the Driver & putter were to cold to work. All in al good morning except back 9 was freakin Slloooww.
