perseveringgolfer
Senior club champ knockout stage (last 16) today- played like I was just starting out in golf J Arthur (shank) off the first tee and it all went pete tong (wrong) from then on in............tops/thins/fats mixed with perfect strikes then pulls, pull hooks, push fades blah blah eventually I had enough and held up the flag of surrender, opponent was ok, just ok but steady. I was losing holes to pars and halfing with bogies and doubles I hate love this game but once it gets you on the floor it just beats the cr@p out of you till you want to give the game up! *sigh* cnosil, Kenny B and Rickp 3 Quote Driver Awaiting NEW Driver (after 10 yrs) 4 Wood Callaway Big Bertha Steelhead plus 4+ Callaway shaft in 'Firm' flex Hybrid Titleist 910H 19* Diamana ahina 'flower' shaft in 'S' Irons Mizuno MP18SC 4-PW N.S Pro Modus3 Tour 105 in 'S' Wedges Callaway Mack Daddy forged in black 50* and 54* KBS Tour in 'R' Putter 'YES' Tracy 11 C groove 34.5"

PING Apologist #9
Played 18 today with my Neice & her boyfriend out in Mountain Home at the Canyon Springs course. Hot and dry, and the greens were tricky. We did match play for skins-he from the tips, me from the whites and her off the lady's tees. Felt like I played better than I scored though I had 2 pars on par-4's and another on a par-3 with a nice 1-putt after chipping on. Started off rough with a snowman on the first...otherwise it may have been a personal best. Oh well... 103 which is what the temp was after we got off! May hit a local club here tomorrow for more abuse... Sluggo42
... After playing really well the last 5 rounds it had to come to an end. Not a single birdie today when I have been averaging 5 a round. Just felt tight and a little off from the first swing and it was an 18 hole grind. I ended up with a 74 but it could have been at least 2 stokes higher as I chipped in twice. Couldn't find the fairway, couldn't hit the green and couldn't read quite a few very subtle breaking putts. My son had the same problem as he has been shooting in the low 80's and had an 89. But he did hit a 331 yd drive and birdied the hole. Days like today make me really appreciate the days when the game seems effortless. To quote that famous philosopher Roseanne Rosannadanna "it's always something". +1 I've been on a tear of late myself, and I'm just waiting for that other shoe to drop. I re-strained my elbow last night during the fishing tourney, so that will probably affect my swing I'm sure. We'll find out tomorrow I guess... chisag and Rickp 2 Quote TSr2 on tensi blue stiff Speedzone 3-wood on Tensi blue S Epic Max 5 and 7 woods on HZRDUS Reg flex Paradym 9 wood on HZRDUS reg flex P770 / P790 combo set on Ventus R-6 shafts 6-AW T22 Denim Copper 54°, 58° on Kinetic X Trajectory ER3 or, E.A.S. #4 (“Fang” or “Adele”) ProV1x, or, Maxfli Tour X .Org 14 cart bag Adidas Tour 360 , or Sketcher shoes

RoverRick
For the first time, since rebuilding my swing and 18 months off, I did not have one weak hit. My swing, while not always the direction I wanted, was always solidly stuck. Having said that, the condition were pretty brutal. Hot, and windy, but US Open type rough. Normally it is much drier this time of year, but with all the rain we have had, the grass is much thicker and tougher. We all had this problem this weekend. Overall, I made progress and two days in a row, I won money on the hole bets. I hadn't done that this year. Kenny B
Not a good day... not a bad day. I had one of those days where nothing felt good, but I managed to get around the course without messing up too bad. Shot 41/39 for an 80. Only 29 putts; only one for birdie. The most interesting shot came on #12, a par 3 playing 135 today which in in the front of the green over a large bunker. Landed the ball in the bank short and rolled back into the bunker. Bunker play is not a strength of mine; I blasted the ball out, and it might have flown over the green except it hit the flag and dropped down 4 feet from the cup. Par save!!
