robertson153
Third round of match play today. Had the wrong mindset going into it. Should've been over in 14-15 holes tops. I couldn't get off the tee, couldn't putt, pulling my short irons and wedges. He played to his average mediocre game, but it was enough to put me out. I guess I just thought “This will be an easy win†and didn't bring my A game, or even B game. By the time I started to get in my normal grove, down 3 with 3 to go. First time I had to give strokes, that sucked!! Kenny B
Nice fall 75º day today, but the wind picked up about halfway through the front nine. Shot 42/39 = 81 with only one birdie, but no doubles. My wife was about to chip onto the #3 green from the front, when a ball landed next to her and rolled all the way off the back. She was a little bit upset; I heard her yell, "F...", or something like that. I was driving the cart up the cart path to the back of the green. One of the guys in the group behind us sliced his shot over the big mounds separating hole #3 from hole #2, and he had a blind shot to the green. But who hits toward the green without checking if the green is clear first? Play was slow all day, and the group behind finally caught up to us on hole #6 while I was waiting to tee off. The guy came up to me and apologized. My wife was sitting in the cart, and I told him he should go over and apologize to my wife since she was the one who almost got hit. He never did. cksurfdude, Rickp and DougC38 3 Quote “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

palvord
Played a quick 9 yesterday at the local muni. Really enjoyed the pace of the round and the company as I was paired up with 2 recent college graduates who played baseball for their school. My goodness being young and fit really helps someone hit the ball a mile. They were flat out smoking the ball. And they could control their shots too. It was fun to witness. (Also, another kick in the pants to give a crap about my fitness) I shot a 41 and am really proud that I for once did not change my game for the “audience.†Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy PING Apologist #9, GB13, DougC38 and 4 others 7 Quote In my Ultralight Stand Bag: Driver: Rogue 10.5° - LH - Project X EvenFlow 60 Stiff Woods: King F9 - LH - 3/4 Wood - Atmos Blue TS 7 Stiff King F9 - LH - 5/6 Wood - Atmos Blue TS 7 Stiff Irons: King F9 - LH - 5-GW - KBS C-Taper Lite Stiff Wedges: King Black - LH - 52° 56° 60° - KBS Hi-Rev 2.0 Stiff Putter: - Impact No. 3 Ball: Maxfli TourX Rangefinder: LX5 Watch

Rickp
Played an unimpressive 9 holes early this morning on a course still wet but in good shape. After the 9 went to local Golf Shop. Had a chance to try a few LH 7 irons they had for fitting. The G700, I500 were pretty but no improvement over my G400. What did get me thinking were the 790 & Rogue irons. Sorry OG I just couldn't get over the Cleveland HB hybrid looks. I didn't hit them well. No Srixon irons in stock. They have 2 stores (Ocala) and share some heads. My 7 iron swing speed same as my age, 72. SteddyGolf
Went out to Royal Hawaiian Golf Course here on Oahu. Weather was iffy on that side of the island and the course was very empty so I decided I'd try my hand at speed golf (with a cart). You cannot walk the course but you can run all over the fairways. I finished 27 holes in less than three hours. Two hours and 23 minutes to be exact. I felt like a hobo with a ham sandwich........I was in heaven. Final score 79. When I returned my cart I was both drenched in sweat and covered in mud. I received quit a few strange looks which made it all the more better Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy MattF, Sluggo42, PING Apologist #9 and 6 others 9 Quote Miura MB 502 Irons ping G400 Driver Cobra F7 3 wood Mizuno putter Mizuno Wedges.
