Bonks
Played in a two man scramble today and shot 74. cnosil
Started out the day pretty well with a 2 over 38 with 2 bogeys coming on 3 putt holes. The back was a completely different story as I seemed to completely lose my swing from 13-17; lost 5 golf balls during that stretch. Got it back together on 18 and finished with a birdie. tehuti
I played okay today on the local exec course - 3,120 yds.The putter was on fire! I also hit the driver okay on the few holes it was needed. The one hole that I hit the 3 wood off the tee didn’t go so well. But I was able to finally hit my 4 hybrid off the tee.The 3 hybrid is still a work in progress. At the range I nail it now, which wasn’t true a month ago. But hitting from dead center of the fairway today on a perfect lie I managed to shank it right into the rough - twice. So back in the bag for a while.I hit several good approach shots with various irons, so that is encouraging. And I got out of trouble fairly well today too. Only 2 blowup holes in 18 is an improvement.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk cksurfdude and MattF 2 Quote PXG 0211 12° driver w/Project X Cypher R flex shaft KE4 TC 16° 4 wood w/Kuro Kage Black 60g shaft KE4 TC HyWay 21° utilitywood w/Maltby MPF shaft KE4 TC 22° 4 hybrid w/UST Proforce V2 Black shaft KE4 TC 25° 5 hybrid w/Mitsubishi Tensei CK Blue shaft Lazrus 27° 6 hybrid w/Lazrus graphite shaft PXG 0211DC irons 7-PW w/Project X Cypher graphite shafts CBX2 50° wedge M-Series+ 56° wedge w/UST Recoil 660 graphite shaft Infinite Bean putter

Mr. 82
Played in an FSGA one-day event near St Augustine, Florida today at the Golf Club of South Hampton. What a soggy mess. Bunkers were packed mud with standing water. Practice putting green was cut much slower than the course itself, so imagine my surprise when I ran my first putt 10 feet past the hole. Lost several strokes just taking relief from cart paths, as even with the club length drop your ball is still sitting on hard pan and tree roots. I took a mental note on this nonsense and the next time I get something like this I will take an unplayable penalty and move the ball to real grass. I figure between the mud bunkers, hard pan tree roots off cart paths and unpredictable green speeds I lost about 9-12 strokes, carding my nifty little 87. Honestly, I don’t normally make excuses for a high score, but when you are hitting the ball really good all day long and walk off with so many bogies or worse for various reasons related to bad course conditions, that’s not on me, that’s on the golf course. It’s sad honestly, because I actually liked this course layout. Kenny B
Only two guys showed up today and they both had something going on afterwards, so golf was only 9 holes today. It was a good thing because we got some spits of rain. I'm still hitting the occasional wayward tee shot. I only hit one (1) green in regulation, and didn't chip particularly well either. However, I parred the first 6 holes and one-putted the first 5 holes. The shortest putt was 6 feet; longest was 25 feet. I just laughed as they went in the cup!! I came down to earth, two-putting holes 6-9 for a +3 score on the front nine. cksurfdude, MattF, Rickp and 1 other 4 Quote “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”
azstu324
Saturday played a course that I know very well with my buddy Mark. Kokopelli. This games funny.. About 2 weeks ago I had a pretty stellar round there (for me) and shot an 80. I felt like everything was working that day. On Saturday I just felt like everything was off and not coming together like I'd like. My buddy was having an off day too. Not to mention the course was in pretty rough shape due to pre re seeding prep so there was just an extra added level of difficulty. At the end we added everything up and I shot an 83 and he shot an 86. I was honestly expecting something in the 90's by the way things seemed to be going. cksurfdude
Played a short 9-hole course I hadn't played in a long time. Only had my practice wedges and an old putter with me as I was originally headed to a short Par 3 but got re-routed due to construction. This is a pretty short course, too .. just looked it up and it's only 1930 yds .. so with a PW as my longest club figured it would be good practice. And it was. Generally kept the ball moving towards the green and, despite a lot of very thin grass and mud, chipped/pitched onto the greens well enough. Think I made more bogies today - which for me is good - than any other round so far, so I guess I'll have to play this way more often! I know I've got to hammer a 3 wood to get it on the green and have a chance with the wind blowing and it being really wet. So ... I swing too hard with my 3, top the ball and end up with a double for an 80.... 39/41....
