Sluggo42
Way to go Foz!!, Yesterday I was a toad, today I was on fire. Tee to green was fantastic. But they had just punched the greens so we played 2-putts once you got on. Shot a +4 76 and was stoked with how well I hit everything. But the greens, they were BAD! It kind of pissed me off because I couldn’t make any recoveries or up and downs, or any birdie putts which I had reasonable shots at, all day. I mean the putts were bouncing and jumping side to side. It would have been pure luck to get one to drop. This picture is actually the only “one putt” I made. Oh and it was a pretty windy day too, but that didn’t affect me adversely cuz you’re either against or with it, not many side to side shots. PING Apologist #9
Played my tail off yesterday for a personal best 84!!! That still was not good enough to win the most skins, but damn was it nice to have a great day where most everything came together! 1 bird and tons or pars and a couple of doubles. GB13
There were 30mph winds with 50mph gusts today so it was challenging to say the least. 38-36-74 (+2) FIR 5/14 GIR 14/18 Putts 14-14-28 My new to me I200's came in today at 1:00 and I was on the course by 2:00. It took me a few holes to figure out the distances and get comfortable with the added length but after that, it was love at 1st hit. I was playing 710 AP1's before, so I had no idea what "workability" was, and let me tell you, I LOVE being able to work the ball without having to make a crazy over the top move. Oh, and they sound nice too. They have just a perfect crisp sound. I actually think having a less forgiving club made me focus on ball striking and is making me a better ball striker because I can't let my swing get sloppy and get away with it. cksurfdude, PING Apologist #9, MattF and 2 others 5 Quote Wilson Staff C300 9.0* Fujikura Pro 58 stiff Callaway Rogue 3W Mitsubishi Diamana D+ LTD 80 stiff Mizuno MP-18 MMC FLI-HI 2 iron UST Mamiya Recoil 95 stiff Ping I200's 4-W Aerotech Steelfiber I110 CW stiff Ping Glide 52* and 58* stiff Bettinardi Studio Stock #38 Armlock

fozcycle
Decided to take a break from my Cobras and Arccos today and gamed my Hogan Ptx irons and Wilson Staff Triton, along with a Bombtech 3 Wood and 4 Hybrid. Shot a 42/41:83 with one birdie(Par 3 chip in)at Babe Zaharias GC in Tampa. Garnered a tie for 2nd place. I wanted to see if the Triton was still as straight as it was back in May( before Cobra F8’s).....and it was! Have a very tight fairway course coming up on Sat and wondered if the Triton was straighter than the Cobra. I believe it is....My Paderson IMRT shaft is an inch shorter than the stock Aldila Rogue making it more accurate for narrow fairways. The Hogan irons were pretty spot on today except for a few chunkie chips.Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy MattF, PING Apologist #9, tommc23 and 2 others 5 Quote Driver: 0311 XF 10.5* w/Project X Cypher 40 gram Senior shaft or 0811 XF 12* w/Evenflo Riptide CB Senior shaft Fairways: 0211 5W & 7W w/ Evenflo Riptide CB regular shaft and Tour Edge E521 9W w/Fubuki HD50 regular shaft Hybrid: None in bag at the moment Irons: Titleist T300 5-PW w/Fubuki MV Senior graphite shafts w/Golf Pride Tour Wedges: Edison forged 49*, 53* and 57* wedges with KB PGI Senior shafts(80 grm). Kenny B
My wife and I took a mini golf trip this past weekend up to Spokane. She grew up there, and we visited relatives as well. We drove up Saturday morning, and since I am doing the SuperSpeed Golf Protocol 3 times a week, I didn't want to take their clubs with me an do it on Sunday. So, I did the Protocol early on Saturday, got in the car and drove 150 miles. Not something I want to do again. Our first round was Saturday at noon, but the Kalispell Golf and Country Club (formerly the Spokane CC) had a delay due to frost, so we didn't tee off until 1:45pm. It was chilly, but sunny. Unfortunately, by the 7th hole a cloud went over and it rained hard, then hailed, then the wind blew, then the sun came back out. I could not hit my driver straight; I hit 7 of 12 fairways and only 4 GIR, but managed to salvage the round with my short game. I shot 42/41 = 83. The ball was not flying as far as I would have expected even though the elevation is 1500 feet higher than my home course, and the course was wet so not much roll. We played another round there on Sunday, and I played a little better 41/39 = 80. I hit 11 of 12 fairways, but only 3 GIR even though I used one club more for most approaches. However, several misses were on the fringe and puttable. I had 28 putts. I managed to birdie both of the greens I hit on the back nine. Sluggo42
Shot good, but it got kinda hot (86) banged some long drives today, which is always fun- still love the g400 LSTec... but slow- why do the slow pokes feel the need to be the first group off in the morning? Kinda kills the day for everyone else... revkev
Classic tale of 2 nines day. 43-38 81 and the back nine is generally harder than the front. A part of it was that we were a 2 some and caught the foursome ahead of us on 3. It was excruciating and the two some behind us didn’t want to join us. They quit after 9 and the two some behind them joined us on 11. That made all the difference in the world. And they were a very nice older couple. We had a blast. In regards to golf I had a train wreck with my short irons. I don’t know what was going on there.
