Mr. 82
Shot this...In this...The wind cost me that bogey as it was a good one club wind and I flushed a wedge that got caught in the wind and came straight down short of the green. I couldn’t get up and down. So I played the last three holes pissed off trying to birdie something. Drained like a 5 footer on the last hole to get back to level par. I was hitting is pretty good, considering that I hadn’t hit a shot since Thanksgiving day. Yeah I know, some of you up north just want to tell me to STHU. patrickleeleep
Well the other week was my best round. Rewind to 1-2 years and I was struggling to get into the low 90's. The last year has mostly been in the 80's. Personal best was an 84 (different course). Fast forward to a couple weeks ago and I broke 80 for the first time with a round of 76. 27 Putts, 39% GIR (Probably why I had sub 30 putts), and 21 FIR% (Nothing wildly off the fairway). Most pars and birdies I've had in a round. 9 pars and 3 birdies. Only one double and one 3 putt. It was just one of those days where nothing was horrible and putting everything together. Mr. 82
If you combine this with my 36 from Monday that ties my personal best round of 71. In all seriousness, sounds like a great time and 77 is a really good round on an long, unfamiliar course. I skipped the fitting and went out and played Palm today with my son. Showed him I can still play for an “old” man with a 36-32 68. Clean card and rattled off 10 straight pars before birdie on 11. Added two more on 13 and 14 then drained a nice 15 footer on 17 for another bird. Last round of the season for me and going out with a good one. Kenny B
My wife and I weren't going to play today because we had a 10am appointment. The morning was nice and sunny with a temp of 46º and no wind. Dang!! Appointment was canceled; got a tee time at 11:14am. Great! On the drive to the course, the fog rolled in; sun was gone; and temp dropped to 37º. Oh yeah... a slight breeze! Cold!! Birdied #1; bogeyed #2; chip-in birdie on #3; birdied #4; bogeyed #5... finally got a par on #6. Bogeyed #7 and 8; parred #9. Three birdies and four bogeys for +1 on the front. I was +6 on the back nine; no birdies and two doubles. Still... a 79 in the cold is not bad. Colder tomorrow, but hopefully sunny if the fog lifts. Charli
Well today was very wet but 50+ degrees so I was happy. After taking a month off due to work, weather and family I was a little nervous. I ended the season with an 8.5 index and I haven’t taken a month off since I started golfing. So we weren’t getting much role today because of the rainfall but still ended with a 79. The greens were actually rolling very well but some spots were just puddles. I will admit in the car ride home I was thinking about the strokes left out there instead of being happy i shot a 79 Kenny B, Mr. 82, cksurfdude and 3 others

cnosil
You must have figured out the wet shots. How'd you do it... asking for a friend. I did figure out the wet shots...at least for the day. I watched the Stan Utley video that someone posted and some James Ridyard videos. Basically I realized I was dropping my right shoulder and hitting everything fat. Worked on letting the club swing and not using my hands to move the club. Contact was good and I was better able to flight the ball. Was even using my 56* which has traditionally been my worst club for pitching and chipping. cksurfdude, Kenny B and MattF 3 Quote Driver: G400 Max 9* w/ KBS Tour Driven Fairway: TS3 15* w/Project X Hzardous Smoke Hybrids: 915H 21* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype 915H 24* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype Irons: TR20V 6-11 w/Vizard TR20-85 Graphite Wedge: 54/12D, 60/8M w/:Accra iWedge 90 Graphite Putter: TM-180 Testing: Backups: Milled Collection RSX 2, mFGP2, Futura 5W Member: MGS Hitsquad since 2017
