robertson153
Not bad considering I’ve only played a couple of times. 83 with 4 doubles. Lipped out an eagle putt on #11. Only had 27 putts, I average 34 so I gotta be happy about that. I’ve got to learn not to follow a bad shot with another bad shot. chisag
... I did an "accidental experiment" today. I changed shafts in my driver last night and forgot to put it back in the bag, something I discovered when I removed my clubs from the trunk. Doah! I have complete confidence in my F9 and the only times I don't use it is when a fairway runs out or I need to thread a tee shot between bunkers, and then I use my UDi 2 iron. So any hole I play driver on, I moved up a tee box and hit 3 wood. I never hit 3 wood off the tee (other than one hole at home where I need a draw around a tree) and it took me a few holes to gain some confidence. I actually topped one off the 2nd hole, that thankfully rolled to 180 in the desert so it didn't hurt me. But moving up to the gold tees I reached every par 5 in two, or at least pin high. 492, 444, 466 and 490. The F9 is long off the the tee and obviously long from the fairway. Just such a great sound/feel with a perfect mid high trajectory and very accurate. I produced a little 3-5yd draw that I can see me using in the future. Sometime experiments can be very instructive and valuable. cksurfdude, Kenny B, 00sportsman and 3 others 5 1 Quote Driver: Qi10 10.5* ... Ventus Red Velocore 5R Fairway: Qi10 5 wood ... Kenny B
A lot cooler today than all of this last week. 48º and a light drizzle when my wife and I teed off, but by hole #7 the rain quit and the wind was blowing 25 mph, changing directions on every hole it seemed. We haven't played since last Sunday, and I haven't been practicing all week. Yard work!! And I'm sore!! Summary: One of the worst days of golf I have had in years. I did not hit any shot longer than 80 yards that I would have called a decent shot, let alone a good shot. It was a struggle all day. Fortunately for me, my short game was pretty good. I shot 86, no birdies; a lot of bogeys but only one double bogey. I've shot worse scores, but I always remember that I had a good hole or two or several good shots. Except for chips and putts, I had zero good shots today. As bad as I played, I really felt sorry for my wife. She usually shoots in the mid to high 80's, sometimes low 90's. Today she shot 111 because she missed a 6 foot birdie putt on the 1st hole, otherwise it would have been 110. lol. Her game today was just the opposite of mine. Off the tee and from the fairway, she hit a lot of good shots. She lost all of her shots around the green. Tomorrow we play early and again a light drizzle is the forecast, but no wind!! downlowkey
First full loop of the year is in the books. I’ve been helping my work buddy with his game all week and we decided to sign up for a Saturday afternoon beating at Heritage Todd Creek Golf Club. He’s a 6 rounds a year (why we talking bout practice?) kind of golfer but was a D1 soccer star and has loads of athleticism. Todd Creek has some of the most challenging greens complexes (my opinion) in the Denver metro and with that in mind we decided the blue tees (6589/72; 70.6/123) would be an appropriate test for Pat. He put on a tee ball clinic and made a 10 footer on 18 to break 100 (99) for the first time. I really enjoyed watching him play the round of his life on a very tough track. My stats: *12/14 fairways, 14/18 greens, *29 putts, 5 birdies against 3 bogeys (-2) *Ping OG400 LST update - still chalk line straight after the Winter lay-off *Bettinardi SS38 Armlock Review Easter Egg (first loop) Shankster, JohnSmalls, cksurfdude and 6 others 9 Quote PXG___0811 X 9* - Mitsubishi Diamana s60 Limited X Cobra___S9-1 Pro 15* - Matrix Ozik XCON 7 S Adams___XTD Forged 3i - Matrix Ozik Program F15 120 S Adams___CMB 4-PW - Matrix Ozik Program F15 120 S KZG___Tri-Tour 50.08__54.10__58.12 - Accra iCWT 2.0-95i S Nike___Method Converge B1-01 (copper insert) Maxfli___'23 Tour X "The most important shot in golf is the next one“
Kenny B
This has been a horrible weekend. After yesterday's unlikely 86 with not a good shot to be found, today was just the opposite. I hit pretty good shots tee to green considering the wind played havoc with shots most of the day. I apparently left my short game home. Shot 91. If I had yesterday's short game, my score would have been low 80's. On a positive side my wife shot 14 shots better today than yesterday, but she was still 10 shots above her "normal" round. I'm ready for warmer weather. edingc
Today was a major letdown after last week's 85. Went 50/46 to finish with a +24 96 on what is probably going to become my home course. Walked all 18 holes in beautiful spring weather. Positive outcomes from today's round: Epic Flash feels fantastic. Getting a little more forward bend at address really helped with my takeaway. As a result my ballstriking was better today, the results were "Eh," however. Hit more fairways than before. Not-so-positives: Only mustered two pars and no GIRs (yikes!). Hit a ton of trees. Chipping wasn't great. Putting was terrible. Lots of three putts. This course was purchased by a new owner about three years ago. He has made a lot of improvements, but it is still in dire need of help. Several tee boxes were dirt, moles ravaged others and everything needed a good roll to smooth it out. Didn't have many good lies today. Still early in the season (they just opened) and greens were in good shape, albeit slow. Back to the range for more practice! cksurfdude, Shankster, cnosil and 4 others 7 Quote Unofficial WHS Handicap: 7.5 / Anti-Cap: 13.0 (Last Updated Feb. 19, 2024) Driver: Callaway Paradym TD (10.5°, -1/N), 45.75", Fujikura Motore X F1 6X | Fitting Post 3 Wood: Cobra RadSpeed Big Tour (14.5°), 43", Fujikura Motore X F1 7X 20° Hybrid: PXG 0211 (2020 Model), 40.25", Mitsubishi Tensei AV RAW White 90X 4 Utility: Cobra KING Utility (2020 Model), 38.5", Aerotech SteelFiber i110cw Stiff 5-PW: Ben Hogan PTx Pro, 37" 7 Iron, Aerotech SteelFiber i125cw Stiff | Club Champion Fitting 50°, 54°, 58°: Edel SMS, V Grind, Nippon Modus 125 Wedge| Official Review Thread Putter: L.A.B. sp0rtsfan86
Played another 27 bringing by yearly total up to nearly ten in three weeks. Played 36 since the last update and was hoping for better and nearly got there before melting down. First round: 46/50 for a 96. Could not stop the bleeding on the back with pars and a lot of doubles and extras. Driver was fine by irons were hit well just pushed and pulled and still couldn't chip. On Friday I get out and had the course to myself for the most part. Ended up shooting 91 but had a 5! putt 17th and and 3 putt 18th. The 17 was frustrating because I hit a decent iron that went up the green and ended up on the back fringe. The first putt I tapped to get rolling and stopped halfway. I did the same with the second putt but it died halfway again despite putting the same speed. The third putt which was 7-8 foot ran 15 foot by the hole. Two putted from there to bring it to a 7. I managed 7 fairways and 8 greens but could only put down a 90. (part of the reason is the green are aerated and still very bumpy from the winter. Next day had a ton of work but managed to sneak in 9 before my parents rolled into town. Ended up with a 48 from the blues vs the whites. Didn't strike the ball nearly as well but scrambled a lot better but still couldn't putt including a 4 and 3 putt in 9 holes. Ill start worrying about the putter soon because so far it's been trash. No matter what the game always humbles you. ... First time. Amen. I remember my very first audition for a Major Motion Picture. I was meeting Ron Howard and I was just so nervous. He asked me about a play I was in and then he got a phone call and excused himself, left the room for a few minutes and that made it even worse as I hadn't read for my audition yet. He came back, looked at my resume and said "Thanks so much Sam, that was a great audition. I will ket you in mind". LOL, I was so nervous I just said thanks and left without even auditioning. It gets easier every time you are there. fozcycle, THEZIPR23, cksurfdude and 1 other 4 Quote Driver: Qi10 10.5* ... Ventus Red Velocore 5R Fairway: Qi10 5 wood ... DiscipleofPenick
Got in 36 at my home course this weekend, but it's not golf yet here in Ohio, too much mud. Just shaking off the rust and focusing on good habits and positive mental state. I did have a birdie each day though, so something positive to build onSent from my SM-G935P using MyGolfSpy mobile app MattF and cksurfdude 1 1 Quote Take Dead Aim Driver: PXG 0211 10.5* Fairway: Titleist 917 F3 15* Hybrid: Adams Idea Pro Boxer Gold 18* Irons: MacGregor MT-86 Pro Wedges: Vokey 50/54/58 Putter: SeeMore X2 Costa del Mar Ball: Srixon Z-Star

Standing on 15 tee and was -5. Problem was that I didn't realize I was that deep. Saw it on Arccos as I was entering putts, proceeded to bogey 3 of last 4 holes. 71 33 38 9/14 FW 12/18 GIR. 29 putts. I laughed out loud this morning at this, only because I'm transferring that feeling to my 18th hole on Sunday. Of course, I was standing on 18 tee +4 for the nine already, and I remember thinking, "OK, a five gets me home with a 45 on the back." I proceeded to hit my drive behind a tree, topped a 5 iron while trying to get out from behind it and then fatted an 8 iron. Ended up with a double bogey six and 46 for the nine. tony@CIC, fozcycle, THEZIPR23 and 3 others 4 1 1 Quote Unofficial WHS Handicap: 7.5 / Anti-Cap: 13.0 (Last Updated Feb. 19, 2024) Driver: Callaway Paradym TD (10.5°, -1/N), 45.75", Fujikura Motore X F1 6X | Fitting Post 3 Wood: Cobra RadSpeed Big Tour (14.5°), 43", Fujikura Motore X F1 7X 20° Hybrid: PXG 0211 (2020 Model), 40.25", Mitsubishi Tensei AV RAW White 90X 4 Utility: Cobra KING Utility (2020 Model), 38.5", Aerotech SteelFiber i110cw Stiff 5-PW: Ben Hogan PTx Pro, 37" 7 Iron, Aerotech SteelFiber i125cw Stiff | Club Champion Fitting 50°, 54°, 58°: Edel SMS, V Grind, Nippon Modus 125 Wedge| Official Review Thread Putter: L.A.B.
