Tale of two nines --- I bogeyed #9 to make the turn at 1 under (35).  On the back, things didn't go quite as well.  Lipped out a par putt on #10, pushed my par putt on #11.  On #12 par 5, I hit one under a tree and had to take an unplayable lie, but even with 2 club lengths, my swing was restricted.  Ended up triple bogeying the hole for a snowman.  Ended shooting 6 over for the round (78, adjusted for posting to a 77).    Struck the ball very well most of the day, but the sad part is that I probably missed 4 short putts that one expects to make 9 out of 10 times.

Played in my league's first round championship match play and drew the course pro🤦‍♂️.  Started strong winning the first hole but just couldn't get an approach shot remotely close to the green.  I have to say that the Cleveland RTX 4 wedges kept me in it since I had to rely on them a lot but in the end, a 🤬🤬🤬bulky driver sealed my fate.  Lost 2 and 1.

Played my home course this afternoon to a +4. 1 bird and no doubles. Two bogeys came when I played through others. Seems to be the norm when play through. I need to stay in my game when I play through and not rush.

No stats tonite as I wasnt feeling it but I think I hit 11/18 GIR which I am happy with.

“Bacon Boys” Exec 9 this morning. A new course to me, 7:00 am first groups out. I really liked this not so little Exec bad shots were wet or marsh. Greens were nice and rolled beautiful.
Hit the ball pretty good, one lost ball that messed up my score. Pushed a tee shot that I thought was just off the green but just off the green meant ankle high rough.
Breakfast followed and welcomed by all! I love my job
Oh, 2 bird, 4 pars the rest “others”.

Wow what a round, had just about everything. Driving a par 4, a hosel rocket, missing 2 6 footers then making 2 putts over 20 feet. Pretty much golf summed up in 1 round. 9 pars 4 birdies 5 bogies. 🤷‍♂️

2 double bogeys on the front nine and shoot 2 over (38) followed by an even par backside for a sweet 74.  12 pars, 3 birdies, a bogey and 2 doubles.

Played 6-6-6 game today (aggregate score net) and I was on the losing end of that deal!  Lost 2 of the 3 matches, pushing the third.

Back at my home course this morning and had another great round for me. Sadly my putting kind of fell off on the last four holes, with the three-putts coming on 15 and 18 and costing me my second-ever sub-80 round. It's OK - the course gave me two very generous bounces today in my favor that saved me at least three strokes.

Didn't find as many fairways but wasn't far off them. Need to post an update in the Epic Flash thread because it's been money for me with my "rediscovered" driver swing.

Well, I have been experimenting this week with mixed bag:

Driver: Callaway Rogue
3W & 5W: PowerBilt Air Force One
4H: Tour Edge CBX119 22*
5-8 iron: PowerBilt Air Force One (graphite shafts)
41/45/49/53/57 Wedges: SCOR (steel shafts)
Putter: Friday: Ping Ketsch.....Sat&Sun: Evnroll E6

3 rounds at Pebble Creek(my home club):

Friday: 41/45:86.....one Birdie
Saturday: 40/47:87...one Birdie
Sunday: 40/46/86...two Birdies

My current handicap is 17, so the rounds are pretty good. But I know I can do better. Dilemma: Do I stay with the mixed bag or do Ig9 back to either the Cobra F8’s or Hogan Ptx’s.

The plethora of birdies says that using steel shafts for my scoring clubs may be helping. They may be more accurate than the Recoil graphite shafts. In the near future I have one week in Hilton Head(annual trip) then our Fall 2 day tourney in mid October.

The reason I switched out my bag was I have been having major issues with Arccos and my iWatch(Series 3). It seems that after about 12 holes, the system fails to advance to the next hole, putting all the shots on one Hole. Have spoken at length with Arccos and am waiting for their reply.

Back to my bag....should I stick with consistent play(3 rounds) or should I put the Cobras or Hogans back in play. Next to last round before I took a week off was a 78 with the Hogans.

Today was a completely different day, all together now.  We had a bunch of T-storms overnight, a little rain and temps in the 60's a tee time and breezy.  I had to wear a pullover.  I started par, birdie, par, par but then I lost my swing.  Ball wasn't carrying as far as usual, and I tried to get a little extra out of every shot; started spraying everywhere.  Shot 85.  I need to head to the range tomorrow to get my rhythm back.

We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

Yeah, I wasn't LOL'ing.  I was wondering what happened to the 3 things a caddie should do... Show up, Shut up, Keep up.  My wife played horribly, but she had fun!!
