Do it! When I am swinging poorly I need to concentrate on making good swings in a practice round. But when I am swinging well or just OK, I LOVE playing worst ball. You still get to hit good shots, you just don't play them. And turning your worst shot into whatever your level of a good hole is, can be very rewarding. And of course hitting 2 really good shots is it's own reward. And if you really want to amp up the pressure, play worst ball with a partner. Choosing the worst of two when you want to support your pard after they hit a great shot is even more difficult than doing it alone. 2 Quote Driver: SIM2 Max 10.5* ... Popular Post Kenny B
My wife called the clubhouse this morning to see if they were going to open today. It was 32º with a few snow flurries! They said there was a 99% chance they wouldn't open. 3 hours later my wife said they would be open at 11:40... wanna go? It was 36º. Well, I guess we are 1%'ers!! We got to the parking lot and there were 3 cars there; the head pro, asst pro, and the 92 year old former pro were BS'ing in the pro shop. No carts were being let out, so we had to walk. Had the entire course to ourselves. We got everything loaded up and it started to rain. Me: Are you sure you want to do this? Wife: I don't think the heavy stuff is going to come down for quite awhile. So off we went to play the front nine. My wife birdies the 1st hole with a chip-in. Shoots 43 (+6). I shoot 46; lots of mishits. I hate cold and rain. 9 2 2 Quote “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

Popular Post Rickp
Played Monday & Tuesday Exec nothing special there still fighting the PXG driver, can’t get a feel for it. Wednesday played Big Boy but only 9 holes and it was slooowwww going. Groups in front of us where horrible, dove carts at times back towards us then circling and not to mention playing wrong Tees. The Ranger was pushing them but he was having a problem with a couple guys who we’re claiming that he was picking on Seniors……Oh Boy can’t make this up. Anyway shot a 5+ for the 9 and did hit a couple of decent shots with the PXG 0211 driver at least as good as the Titleist TSI2 driver. 9 1 1 Quote Rick Left Hand, Driver; Titleist TSi2, Kuro Kage 50 gr 5 wood; Ping 425, Senior Shaft 55 gr 7 wood; Ping 425, Senior Shaft 55 gr 5 hybrid; Cally Steelhead, Hazardous R2 Irons; Mizuno JPX 923HM 7-GW Recoil 460 F2 Wedges; Titleist S9 54*, Mizuno SW 56* Putter; Waaay too many to list
Popular Post Syks7
Mixture of good and bad today. 40/44 84 gross, 10 pars, 4 doubles, 4 bogies, 34 putts, and partridge and a pear tree. Good: My putting was much better than the 34 would imply. Zero three putts. Zero misses inside 6 feet. Good lines and speed all day. Just not quite good enough to drop. It appears that the speed training is working. If nothing else I'm learning to swing fast consistently. For a 55 degree, windy, drizzly day I hit one out to 289, another to 285, a pair out to 270, and a 260 yard drive straight into the teeth of a 1.5 club wind that I think would have been my longest of the day. 243 average for the day. (Distances thanks to my new watch). The four doubles were odd. It felt like I'd never swung a club before on all 4 of them. Just couldn't get it together -- starting with trouble off the tee. I'd get to the green in 4 and two putt. Had fun though, something I've been focusing a lot more on. I'm either going to breakthrough at some point or I've arrived at my Peter Principle. 10 Quote 0211 -- Tensei AV Raw Blue75 3 Wood RBZ Stage 2 - Diamana Blue Board 2 & 4 Hybrid RBZ Stage 2 -- TT Elevate Tour MP60 4/PW Nippon Modus 115 T22 52° & 58° -- TT Elevate Tour Innovai 6.0 CTR Ball: Zstar XV Divide
fozcycle
Shot 44/47:91 today with a horrible FIR 9/14 for 64%; GIR 5/18 for 28% and 38 Putts. Weather was cool 56* but warmed up to mid 70’s. we set a trap for the Racoon that has been stealing stuff from carts while players are putting on #1. Last week he got a lady’s purse, 2 cell phones and a set of car keys, not to mention all the protein bars. Well by the time we got to #5, we got a text saying the Racoon was in the cage. The club sent him over to the abandoned property that used to be Pebble Z creek golf club and turned him loose. 9 Quote Driver: 0211 w/Evenflo Riptide CB Regular shaft & 0811 XF w/Evenflo Riptide CB Senior shaft Fairways: 0211 5W & 7W w/ Evenflo Riptide CB regular shaft and Tour Edge E521 9W w/Fubuki HD50 regular shaft Hybrid: None in bag at the moment Irons: Titleist T300 5-PW w/Fubuki MV Senior graphite shafts w/Golf Pride Tour Wedges: Titleist T300 48* GW w/Fubuki MV Senior shaft and Edison forged 53* and 57* wedges with KB PGI Senior shafts(80 grm). Popular Post CarlH
Today was one of those days where I hit the ball decently but just couldn't score. I was in 7 bunkers and went 0 for 7 getting the ball up and down. Putting wasn't bad, it just wasn't good. You know...good putts that don't go in the hole for whatever reason. Shot an 86 on a fairly cool day. I think the high during the round was low 50s. Not too many groups for the shotgun today, as it was still about 40 degrees when we teed off. Played as a 3some behind another 3some on a shotgun start and played the round in 3 hours...which was refreshing! 11 Quote Driver: Rogue ST Max (10.5* set at -1 and neutral) -- Mitsubishi Tensai Blue 55g R shaft Fairway: Rogue ST Max 3 wood (16.5*) and Heaven Wood (20*)-- Tensai Blue 55g R shaft Hybrids: Rogue ST Max 5H (23*)--Tensai Blue 55g R shaft Irons: Apex CF19 6-9, PW, AW -- KBS Tour Graphite TGI 70 shafts R +1/2 inch 3* upright Wedges: Edison 53* and 57* KBS PGI 80 Graphite +1/2 inch 2* upright Putter: Stroke Lab 7S Ball: Maxfli TourX...Golf Bag: Pioneer...Shoes: Hyperflex...
