How'd you play?

Okay..... we started at 10:40 and it was 40*.... too damn cold for me! I HATE cold!

I shot 39 on the front (+5) and 43 on the back (+5) for an 82 total. After that, we decided it would be a great idea to play 9 more...lol. So we played the back 9 again, and I shot 43 again. I'll take it seeing as how I HATE cold weather.... and the beer lasted until we were done!

It was a great day, and I had a ball!

Great day to hate

Got to play today for probably the last time this year. It was a beautiful day in NE Ohio. 40/45. I had 5 one putts on the front and no doubles or worse. Drove the ball better than I have in a long time and hit my irons much better. Good way to end the season.

I had not played in over a month so was very pleased with the results, especially since there was no roll in fairways and greens were pretty shaggy and slow.

Shot a pretty steady 43/42: 85 today on a local course that I haven't played yet this year and I'm not even sure I played at all last year.

Fast greens and extremely subtle breaks equated to a lot of missed putts including a free 3-jacks. Had a bunch of bogeys and pars and luckily only had one double (and that was because I launched a bunker shot to the moon).

Although I fought the slicies with my irons, I spanked that new* driver all over the course. I hit 7/8 fairways with bombs on the holes I could pull it out on. It really feels awesome to have control with that club in hand.

Overall, it was a fun round on a beautiful day with some great company. Can't beat that in later November.

Last week was 37-42, this week was 46-37. Horrible start to the round, but struck the ball much better on the back.

Hit the farthest 9 iron I've ever hit, caught a flyer in the rough on 9 today, I had 140 to the pin, I muscled up and went ahead and hit it 175 ish. Flew he green by 30 some yards it was nice, as soon as I hit it I was like see ya later.

Had a disappointing final round of the year .. not worth going into much details .. save for two good tee shots and two good one-putts over 18 holes everything else was just enough off......

But-- major motivation for next season!!!

7:28 start time, 53*, no wind. By 8:30 it was nice and sunny, beautiful day.

39 front 43 back. Played well on the front 1 bird. Back nothing but missed chances and poor putting. Can't blame weather or equipment. Good company fun time.

We had an add in guy this morning. Figure age same as us mid 70's not long hitter but OK. He had a good time with us and us with him.

The only time I got to play over Thanksgiving was Sunday in a local game. Started off pretty well dunking one from the 1st fairway for an eagle 2 from 115 yards. Then made another eagle on the par 5 5th in route to a 5 under through 5 start. I started losing it a bit after that though. Missed a lot of make able putts and lipped out a few chips. Ended up shooting 31(very easily could've been 28/29) on the front and 37 on the back in route to a 68. It could've been an all time low round as well as I hit it but I caught some bad breaks and couldn't get anything to fall. Overall I'll take it and my team won some money.

Played Palm at Disney this morning with my son and chucked up a respectable 75 from the tips. I putted like a moron on the front nine until I figured out how to read the grain in the greens. Shot of the day was a 6 iron from 198 out of the right rough on 18 to a foot to close with a bird.

Did our normal 3 vs.1 scramble at Desert Canyon in Mountain Home Sunday. Cloudy and very windy day but we managed to beat our "pro" by 2 shots. Had 2 fantastic hits with my 3-W with one dropping straight down to the green to within 12 feet from the cup at the 172-yd par-3 11'th with the 20+ mile wind in or faces. Missed the birdie...

Good job!  I always like to beat the pro.

I might have to stop and play this Desert Canyon course.  I've played Desert Canyon outside Wenatchee WA and Desert Canyon outside Scottsdale AZ.  I didn't know about this one!

You bet! Come on down and go for the trifecta some time! Mountain Home (www.mountain-home.us/golfcourse) is always windy, but this little course is alright and it happens to be the home course for one of our group, so we'll occasionally go there from the Boise area. That par-3 11'th is a rough one. Elevated tee box and over a deep, ball-hungry brushy ravine. Fun though.

One place I'd recommend for you if you ever are in the area is definitely; Quail Hollow (www.quailhollowboise.com). I has many challenging holes and none of them are really "flat" either.

Thanks!  I'll keep it in mind next time I travel through Boise.  However, if I play that Quail Hollow, then I would have to play the one in NC, and I'm guessing that's not ever going to happen!!

Hey happy holidays to y'all. Hope you guys did well during the holidays and score big on the sales. I picked up a few good deals.

Got sick so I stayed off the course for a few days then it turned in to more days, went back out today. Shot 78 but played really well. Hit all fairways and gir on all par 3s, that's usually the perk of not playing for a while for me.

The down side is the price I pay for not playing all the time, touches on the greens and around. It's ridiculous how much due one has to pay for many shots to feel automatic and routine.

Had a 41-42 for an 83. Absolutely gorgeous Florida morning, sunny, 70's and light wind. Greens incredibly fast. Got off the tee better than I have in months.

It was 60 here yesterday and today was 46, sunny and very little wind. Another perfect day on the course. I can't believe we're still playing here in northwest Ohio. Forecast looks great for the next 5-7 days so I think they'll be a few more holes played.

Even par 72 at Magnolia today from be back tees. Drove it well with one missed fairway and hit 16 greens. My missed fairway was on 18 by about two feet and I recovered with a 6 iron from 209 to four feet. Lipped our the birdie putt for 71. Overall a good round to end the season on. My elbow feels good and my distance is back to where it should be.

Ruined a solid round with a collapse on the last 4 holes. Was travelling well at 3 over after 14, then had 8 over for the last 4. Conditions were tough, strong wind and misty, soaking rain.

Had 5 putts finish less than 4 inches from the hole, all on the high side. Greens rolled true, but were a bit slow. Mate I played with had a great day despite the conditions, 82 playing off 17, his best ever score. To say he was happy is understating it just a bit.

Today was absolutely gorgeous for December 3; 49* and sunny with no wind.  I'm still wearing the walking boot after my foot surgery on Nov 13.  My wife and I played; she shot 84 from the forward tees.  I'm not making swings with anything longer than a wedge.  Mostly, I played long chips and pitches less than 100 yards depending on where my wife hit shots.  I did tee off on two of the short par 3's from the forward tees and made par on those holes (108 and 122)y.  All of my approach shots were spot on target and about the right distance.  My wife kept my score and I shot 44 for 18 holes!!  I found a way to lower my score; don't hit drives or fairway shots.  I had 26 putts.

We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

Played well today. Shot 69. I'll take that any day in December.

I forgot my SkyCaddie watch. That's why I used the Golfshot app.

Yesterday's round was rough. Pace of play killed me.

Most of my shots were just off just enough to cause issues. Sitting and hitting is no good.

Putting that round behind me and moving forward.
