How'd you play?

Played in my men's league yesterday. Everything was working.. Everything except the dang putter😡 Couldn't hit a putt to save my life. Missed putts from less than 2'! Quite a few three jacks from close range. So angry about it that I seriously almost threw my Bettinardi into the woods on hole 5. Still managed to eek out a 44. I'll be searching for a new putter ASAP!

I shot 40 on the front with two triples =  .  44 on the back  for an 84 for the day.  The good thing is I had three birds today but the bad thing was, I had too many aw shats to score well.  The other good thing I was hitting my King F6 driver really well today! The other bad thing is I probably thinned 75 percent of my iron shots which is odd for me.  My irons are generally the best part of my game.  Not today...

The 4 par 5s I played today I was +10..... Frustrates me so much. Also been working on some stuff with the course pro. Everything else was working pretty well though. Lights out with my putter!!

Did you go for the green on 2nd shot?

 

I noticed that when I'm playing conservative on Par 5's I'll use this math equation

 

D + 6I + 9I = GIR

44/45 at Glen Mills. 5 pars. Pretty consistent, did well at limiting blow up holes. Was a good round, which I needed after playing poorly my first league night yesterday.

Played nine last night for league. Couldn't get anything going. 3 hours for 9 holes is too long. Got frustrated and led to a +2 38.

Yesterday, my buds and I played River Marsh in Cambridge, MD,  course we play often.   As my Maryland fellow spies will attest, I hate and dread the 17th hole.   It is a rather long par 3 with a total carry over water.   Normally, I take my 5 and move on to the 18th tee.   Yesterday, I birdied that sucker.   Unfortunately, I'm rather sure that it will get its revenge the next time I play it.

It was my son John's 30th today. I shot 79, hit it crappy but got up and down from every where.

 

I did outdrive him on 10.

 

 

 

He popped it up, I flushed it.

Today I shot 40/44:84 with 2 birdies.....got $20 for a Closest to the pin and $27 for one of my two birdies held. Two days in a row, played Chrome Soft Truvis and gamed my Nike Method Drone "Thor". Finally, 14 of 14 fairways with my Wilson Staff Triton, 5 greens in regulation and 30 putts. My Ben Hogans are coming alive.

83 today with 3 birdies and way too many doubles. The new M2 corrected most of my tee issues and my wedges and short irons were spot on. Problem was anything longer than 7 iron and my chipping was subpar as well. 5 rounds in 4 days starting Thursday so hopefully I can get it together soon.
