Glad to hear the water has subsided and the courses are open for business...I heard there was quite a bit of flooding. I live down in Keizer and have a membership to McNary. Trysting Tree in Corvallis flooded out and probably won't be open this summer. They have the high school 6A state tourney there, but they are busy looking for another course. Daughter goes to UO and I was down that way during the heavy rains and it was crazy! McNary has water but no real damage and we kept on playing. txgolfjunkie
Played Good Friday down in Galveson at Moody Gardens. Winds gusting out of the north at over 35mph but I was desperate for a round. This course has water on 16 of 18 holes. Hit a 7 iron downwind 210 on the first hole (had 208 to the pin) and then 4 holes later, had to hit a low driver on a 223y par 3. Long drive of the day was 348...shortest was 212...yes, with the same club. Hit the first 10 of 13 greens...and then we made the turn to come back to the club house and every hole was into the wind...and that's when the wheels (and golf ball inventory) fell off. I sure hope that MGS golf ball test comes out soon because someone needs to replenish his inventory. cksurfdude and Big money 2 Quote Cobra Connect 5 Competitor - Team Chad King Radspeed 10.5* w/ Hzrdus RDX Blue 60 6.5 tipped 1/2" - Peacoat/Red King Radspeed Big Tour 3 Wood w/ Hzrdus RDX Blue 70 6.5 Tipped 1/2" King Radspeed Tour 5 Wood w/ Motore X F1 70 X Flex King Utility 4 21* w/ Tensei Pro White 100 X Flex King Tour MIM Copper Irons 5-G w/ AMT White X100 Onyx King MIM Black Wedges 55* & 60* w/ AMT White X100 Onyx Spider SR Pro V1x Left Dash Lefty
edingc
Had a beautiful afternoon Saturday for a quick nine holes. Snowy and rainy weather closed my preferred course all weekend, so I ended up at the same "pasture" I played last weekend. Continued my consistent play, shooting 44 (+8) on the front nine with no three putts. Remove two shorted chips and a provisional tee shot on No. 8 and it would have been even better. On the first par five I stuck a 60 degree lob wedge from about 55 yards to within 3 feet and sunk the birdie putt. Best approach shot I've hit in a long time. Had two super slow groups in front of me, so I ended up inviting the solo behind me to join. Had a lot of fun chatting, made the round enjoyable. To give you an idea about the quality of this course ... On the third hole I could not tee off from the blue tee box because it was occupied by an extremely drunk homeless person rummaging through the trash. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Big money, cksurfdude and Kenny B 3 Quote Unofficial WHS Handicap: 7.5 / Anti-Cap: 13.0 (Last Updated Feb. 19, 2024) Driver: Callaway Paradym TD (10.5°, -1/N), 45.75", Fujikura Motore X F1 6X | Fitting Post 3 Wood: Cobra RadSpeed Big Tour (14.5°), 43", Fujikura Motore X F1 7X 20° Hybrid: PXG 0211 (2020 Model), 40.25", Mitsubishi Tensei AV RAW White 90X 4 Utility: Cobra KING Utility (2020 Model), 38.5", Aerotech SteelFiber i110cw Stiff 5-PW: Ben Hogan PTx Pro, 37" 7 Iron, Aerotech SteelFiber i125cw Stiff | Club Champion Fitting 50°, 54°, 58°: Edel SMS, V Grind, Nippon Modus 125 Wedge| Official Review Thread Putter: L.A.B. Big money
Went out and shot an 88 today. I broke 90, which is a good sign I’m trusting what I have. 43-45 with just bogeys as my worst and nothing higher. I’m just swinging my swing(which produces a in play slice 240 with roll down the middle) . I know my swing is over the top and divots point left. But so what , i keep the ball in play this way and know where it is going. Trying to clear my head from all the instructions I got on changing everything. Not saying it was.a negative. Berg Ryman
So, few days late with this but in a prep round to see where my game was at for my attempted qualifying for the tournament I'm thinking of entering, I played for the first time on Friday just north of Syracuse at Radisson Greens in Baldwinsville NY. Haven't played there for 15 years. In all, shot a 79 from 6400 yards (400 longer than qualifying course) (39-40). 9/14 fairways, 11/18 greens, and just a nightmare putting with 35 putts, and 3 3 putt greens. Closed with two birdies on the last three, both coming on par 5's, including a great up and down out of a green side bunker from 30 yards for birdie on the last splashing it to 2 feet. Positives: Driving the ball. Not a lot of shaping, just straight ropes when swinging through the shot. Iron play a bit conservative but good, bunker play was infrequent, but hit two career type shots Negatives: Putting (you hear that Stroke Lab tester thread ), pitching and chipping, and just straight out fatting short irons into holes where I was set up to do the business. In all though, really happy how the round went, played some solid golf and let me know I should probably sign up for the qualifier Kenny B, cksurfdude, bens197 and 3 others 6 Quote In a Hoofer Lite bag TSR2, 10 degrees, A1 setting, Fujikara Speeder NX Blue 50-S Stealth, 15 degrees, VA Composites Nemesys 70-S E722, 19 degrees, Oban Devotion 80-S JPX 921 Hot Metal Pro 4-P, Nippon 950GH Stiff Flex CBX Zipcore 50* (bent to *49) and RTX Zipcore Tour Rack 54* (bent to *55), DG 115 Spinner, Tour Issue Staff Model TG 60*, Dynamic Gold 120 S300 SIK Golf Flo-C Tour B-XS (2022 Model)

Short game and putter were bad during that period.Got fitted for contacts then went out for 9. 38 and even made about a 15 foot birdie. Putting and chipping was better with 50% up/down. MaxEntropy
I think I now understand the term grind.... That's the only word to describe this afternoon's round - physically and mentally. I really didn't play that poorly. I ended up +10, but 5 of those came on one hole. Yeah, I did that, even though I was trying to play smart. I compounded matters by 3 putting that hole once I finally made it to the green. +5 for the other 8 holes is OK in my book. I wasn't as sharp off the tee as last time I played, but I had some decent recovery shots that helped. Short game was still decent, but more putts tonight - 16 for the nine holes. Chipping wasn't as sharp but I had no warm up tonight. I went straight from my car to the tee due to a meeting running long. It was another windy night. The weather app said 20 mph, but we all agreed it seemed like more. Every hole seemed into the wind and uphill to me. I'm beat. EDIT: I had this lie in a fairway bunker, too  I ended up not too bad after that shot - within a few yards of the green. cksurfdude, tony@CIC, cnosil and 6 others 9 Quote Driver: Epic Speed 9* (set -1) MMT 70X 3W: Tour B JGR Recoil 760ES 3H, 4H: Tour B JGR 19*, 23* Recoil 780ES 4-AW: Tour B JGR HF2 Modus3 Tour 105 SW: RTX Zipcore Black Satin 54* LW: TAIII Black 58* Putter: Scottsdale TR Senita Bag: BigMax Dri Active Lite Ball: TP5x or AVX (yellow) Pushcart: BigMax iQ+ Testing Complete, Final Review Posted: Sub70 TAIII Forged Wedges
Popular Post chisag
... Had my best round today at Aguila and started off with birdies on the first 3 holes. Rolled one in from the fringe on 1 and the next 2 I hit about a foot away. Just a perfect day in the high 80's and no wind and cloud cover and then on #8 a front rolled in with winds picking up to 20 mph. #8 is a short 277yd par 4 that needs a 240 carry to drive the green over a lake, so the play is a 6 or 7 iron and then a wedge in ... but with 20 mph at my back I drove the green and just missed my eagle putt for my 4th birdie. But 9 was back into that 20 mph wind and I flat wiped my tee shot and it really turned and almost come backwards, ending up in the 18th fairway. No shot at the green into that wind from about 230, blind shot and water right so I layed up and bogied for a 33 on the front. Next 4 holes I went birdie-par-bogie-birdie. And as fast as it arrived the front disappeared and it was dead calm for the last 5 holes but I just parred in for a 68. LOL, after being 4 under thru 8 I was thinking of shooting my age again as a 66 was a possibility. ... Played with Jim, a guy from Canada that triple bogied 4 and 5 and he asked me to stop keeping his score. We have played a few rounds together and after I went 4 under he treated me like it was a no hitter, some small talk while we walked but nothing about the score or my play other than "Nice shot". He broke his silence on 18 when I just missed my birdie putt and was very effusive as he has never played with anyone that shot in the 60's. I hate to generalize but I have found Canadians to be such nice people. Heading back to Chicago next week so it was a very fitting farewell to Phoenix and all the amazing people I have been paired up with this winter! Very nice round! I shot my age, 51, on the back 9 the other day.Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy MattF, revkev, MaxEntropy and 6 others 2 1 6 Quote Wedgie Driver - XXIO X Driver 9.5 - Launcher Turbo 2 hybrid - F9 One Length 3-L - ER 1.2 Top Flite Gamer Play Right

chisag
... It is at the bottom of the scorecard along with hole handicap. golfertrb
Played on Monday at a little golf course in my neighborhood - Broadmoore Golf Course in Moore, OK. It's only 6478 yards from the back tees and 6196 from the white. I have decided to start playing from the white tees this year because I have lost a bit of power after my back surgeries and I just want to have a bit of fun. I don't how long I will stick with that but it's the plan as of now We have had a lot of rain recently so while I was playing from only the whites it was playing a bit longer but all things considered the golf course was in pretty good shape. Even though it is in my neighborhood I don't typically play Broadmoore much because the condition isn't always the best and we have some really good Oklahoma City Municipal courses and so I prefer those. I drove the ball very well but my irons were a bit spotty on the front nine but it came together nicely on the back. I hit 11/12 of my fairways, 12/18 greens and had 29 putts for a two under 69. Not a difficult test but it always feels good to shoot under par no matter when or where! tony@CIC, MaxEntropy, perseveringgolfer and 5 others 8 Quote Ping G400 LST 8.5* Graphite Design DI 6 stiff 45" Taylormade RBZ Proto 14.5* Oban Kiyoshi 85 04 42.5" Adams 4555 19* Matrix Ozik Altus 80 S/X 42" Ping G410 Crossover 2 Project X Even Flow Blue 85 6.0 40" Ping i500 4-8 Modus 105 Stiff Ping Blueprint 9-P Modus 105 Stiff Fourteen RM-12 53* and 58* Tour Issue Black Onyx s400 Odyssey Tour Black Series 9 35" Flatso 1.0 Srixon Z Star XV 2018 Ping Hoofer
