MaxEntropy 6,653
League is officially over, but we will continue to play until the time change as weather permits. The only thing at stake is skins, so my friend and I decided to try more "hero" shots when we were out of position since a skin was unlikely. It gave us a chance to practice shots we wouldn't otherwise try. A couple worked out, the others, not so much, but it was fun to try. My score would have been 45-ish, but I didn't record a score for one hole. I had pulled my drive left on a dogleg right par 5, under a tree. Had my score mattered, I would have punched out and moved on. Instead, I saw a decent-sized window and tried a full 3w. I smoked it, but it ricocheted off the one branch that was a concern to me. None of the 4 of us had any clue what direction it went and it wasn't any place obvious, so I recorded an X and dropped about 100 yards out. After we tee'd off the next hole, my friend found my ball in the rough in front of the tee box. It travelled a LONG ways for a ball deflected by a branch. 6 Quote Driver: Tour B JGR 9.5* Recoil 460ES cut to 45" 3W: Tour B JGR 15* Recoil 460ES 3H, 4H: Tour B JGR 19*, 23* Recoil 780ES 4-PW: Tour B JGR HF2 Modus3 Tour 105 AW: S5 52* SW: 588 LW: MD3 Putter: Stroke Lab Marxman Bag: Tour B Stand Bag Ball: Z-Star Pushcart: BigMax iQ+ Tester Starting Driver Speed on PRGR Monitor: 102 mph Final Driver Speed (end of Level 2): 120 mph

Tpoole22 259
I found a par 3 course about 10 minutes from home that you can pay $12 to play all day so i have been playing there for the past 3 weeks working on my iron game. Between that and going to the range every week it seems to be paying off. Also finally dunked a flop shot from a few yards off the green this past week

Popular Post Cory O 322
Played the jewel of the LA city golf system - Wilson at Griffith Park. It's a course I have never played well at, but do really enjoy for the look and feel of the place (1927 course, so old school style). Insanely hard to get a day tee time there these days, so when I saw a time open up (at a discount no less!) for 11am today, I had to cut out from work (much easier during these WFH days) and play. A few things happened during this round: -I didn't get a single birdie -I got stung by a wasp -I shot a personal best on the course (+4/+2 - 78 total) There wasn't anything to really write home about, good or bad. Decent off the tee, but the fairways were shaggy and not giving much roll. Approaches weren't horrible, but nothing close enough to kick in. My putting speed was actually really good, but just not dropping, so easy two putts (30 putts total). Made a beautiful bunker shot right after the wasp stung me, guess I was too distracted by the pain to overthink it, but I then missed the easy putt for the save. Weather was beautiful, air relatively clear, pace not as incredibly slow as it can be there. All in all, a pretty good Wednesday. 12 Quote Driver: Honma TW747 460 VIZARD 50 S-flex Woods: 2020 Adams Tight Lies 16*, Honma TW747 21* Irons: TaylorMade M Gloire 3h, 6-AW Fujikura Speeder SR-Flex Wedges: Cleveland RTX Zipcore Raw 56*/60* Putter: SeeMore Mini Giant Deep Flange 34” Bag: Vessel Player III Stand Bag - White “Golf is a good walk enhanced”

Popular Post cciciora13 708
Shot 36 today. One birdie, One bogey, 7 pars. Pretty good. The 4 iron off the tee on a few of these shorter par 4's is deadly. It keeps me out of trouble and im able to still have about 140-150 in. Could have been under par, but putter wasn't cooperating. 11 Quote In my bag: Driver: Ben Hogan GS53 10.5* Stiff Mitsubishi tensei blue 3 Wood: Insight BUL Stiff Hybrid: 939x Hybrid UST 680 recoil shaft stiff Irons: 699 irons KBS tour 90 v Stiff 52 Deg: 588 RTX 2.0 56 deg: Reg 588 tour action 60 Deg: 588 RTX 2.0 Putter: Studio Stock #3 (Winn 1.32 Pro x grip) Rangefinder: Caddytek V2 Check out my MyGolfSpy 2020 Forum Official Tester: Ben Hogan GS53 Driver

Chip Strokes 3,206
fall is definitely here...had a 3:48 tee time and only got 9 in comfortably. what an up and down 9 holes. 5 pars, a bogey, two doubles, and a triple for 44 i was in scramble mode the whole time. driving iron was blocked right, i couldn’t close the club face to save my life. short game was awesome today though. 4th hole, par 3, hit my tee shot pin high but right of the green. chipped to a foot. 7th hole approach shot found the green side bunker on the short side. hit a beautiful high arcing flop shot that just caught the fringe and rolled to 2 feet to save par. 9 Quote SIM 8º | KuroKage XT 70TX SIM 3W 14º | Fujikura Atmos Black Tour Spec 9TX U500 2i | Fujikura Ventus HB Black 10TX T100 4-PW | Dynamic Gold X7 : SM6 52* SM8 56* SM8 60* | Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 Futura 5w

Grand Stranded 1,485
I played Caledonia yesterday, which for my money is the most beautiful course down here on the Grand Strand. We couldn't have asked for a better day, and because my travel group is 120 players strong, I got to play this gem for under $60. This is the beginning of the best time for golf down here, the temps have dropped after months of 100* heat indexes, and we are getting mid 70's with low humidity. The course was in great shape, the greens were fantastic, flowers were in full bloom, and we even saw a few gators, lol. They were pretty big, too, and trust me we see some good sized ones down here... It's a tough track though, the rough is penalizing, and the design of the course demands that you have a variety of shots in your bag. As for how I played, everything was good except my irons (I'm now convinced they know I have a set of PXG 0211's on the way), I don't think I hit more than 3 greens all day. As is often the case though with my game, when one part isn't working, another is. My wedges really helped me yesterday, and I felt like I couldn't miss with my putter. I even drained a 25 footer to save a double on what could have been my one blow up hole. To sum it all up, I shot 41-42-83 on about as challenging a 6100+ yard course you'll ever play. I'm really happy with how I grinded out a good score on a day when I struggled so much with the irons. BTW here's something you don't read about often. I mentioned there were 120 players in our group yesterday... TWO of them had holes in one!!!! The drinks were flowing afterwards! 6 Quote Driver Epic Max 10.5* Hazardous Smoke i-10 Fairway TS2 16.5* Kuro Kage Hybrids TS2 19* & 21* Kuro Kage Irons PXG 0211 5-GW MMT70 Wedges Vokey SM7 52F & 58-M Putter Newport 2.0 33.5" Bag Hybrid 5 stand or 2.5+ Extras Tracy 33.5” G400 Max 9.0* Alta CB Rogue 15* Quaranta
