Was able to play a course in western Massachusetts today I have never played before called Crumpin fox with my dad @Placasse61 my uncle Tim and cousin TJ. It is pretty highly regarded around here and it lived up to everything it’s been hyped up to be.

If you’re ever in Western MA do yourself a favor and book a tee time. Had a 41/45 and really struggled 10-14 when some rain came in but was just a great round overall for my first run at the course.

7 pars 8 bogeys 3 doubles. Had my opportunities for multiple birds and just didn’t roll any putts. Burned several edges just nothing dropped.

here are some of the views:

That looks super nice.  That water down the left on the long looking par 4 or par 5 must stay in your mind that whole hole knowing you need to go over it at some point.

Looks like I'm going to have to make a trip out there with you next time!

I'm now wondering if somehow my SuperSpeed training has messed up my driver swing. That happened to me in protocol 1 but I fixed it as soon as I recognized the problem.

Funny you should say that about SuperSpeed. I had a similar issue w the OW and my driver swing. I realized the problem and have corrected it, I hope.

Im not sure if its the 4 months of swim spa exercise, and dropping 20 lbs, or if its the new MavriK , or my new swing finally settling in, but my driving distance has become a weapon for me, as I'm getting 270-280 more and more. I know thats not long for many of you, but at 64.5 years old, my old usual distance used to be 230-250. Obviously not every time, but.... I had 4-5 that were in the 260-280 yesteday.
Played a weird "stag day" event at my friends club, and it was a full 4-man scramble. It was the "Diabolical" tourney, where the pins were all placed in the absolute worst spot on every green. Putts had to go in, or they would roll for miles, many times right off the greens. I think we ended up at -4, haven't heard if we were competitive yet... Everyone also had to get at least 3 drives each, which cost us two bogies I think as one of our players is a little older and can't hit it very far, but he's a great putter. It was a blast anyways.

Mavrik is no joke. One of our guys in Wednesday’s group was fitted for the Driver and he’s “killin it”. He’s NEVER been within 10 yards of a couple of us in 5 years now he’s same distance as us or slightly better! Mavrik is real deal[emoji106]
Of course in your case getting in shape sure doesn’t hurt at all[emoji16]

Oh we are going back buddy, I want 36 there next year.....The other halfs can do something out there while we play.

ALOT of water there. That one is a par 5, not a great tee shot but I kept it away from water. Actually should have been on in 3 but not having a GW hurt. 3/4 PW right into the back trap......

Take a look at Fox Hopyard in East Haddam CT., I believe it’s a sister course to Crumpin Fox. It’s a nice, tough course.

After over a month of no golf, shoulder and leg injuries in between, I got a chance to go out and play.

We played the back 9 of Lakes of Taylor twice this morning. it was the maiden round of the SpeedZone Xtreme, and oh boy was it ever good.

Again I cannot thank @GolfSpy STUDque Cobra, Arccos and MGS for the awesome prize.

I hit it from every tee box except the par 3s, so I got 14 hits overall.

I average 220 yards off the tee. which is up 11 yards from the TS2.

For the entire summer, I hit my TS2 driver 159 times with a pretty even misses left and right, and very low fairway hits.

analysis bellow.

image.png.042a20bbe036a51a2bc374129961251e.png

As for the Cobra, well it was a day of fairways, of the 14 shots 13 were fairways, to the right shots were still on the fairway, I do not know why Arccos marked them as a miss.

image.png.c213599bc596f0dc44d256f45bf79070.png

This club was amazing today, the left duck hook that I hit only went 139 yards, but it was not at all bad.

The cobra fells lighter than the TS2 and a bit shorter.

I had no issues on finding the center or close to center of the club face with consistence.

The red circle was my worse shot of the day.

Hope you get it figured out quickly!!

Happened to my wife a few weeks ago; she was "lunging" to get to her left side rather than just swinging the club.  She's better now.

A quick lesson today and I've got it down - at least on the range. My instructor quickly found: I was on my heels and my backswing was too steep. Now let's see if the solution works on the course.

Played the worst game of the season last week played the best game of the season this week. I played a United way charity tournament today and it went amazing I don't think I'll take a trophy because there's some very good players but nonetheless I played incredible today. I missed a hole in one because it lift out and I got a birdie from 6 in. On the par 5 on the back 9 from 220 out I had a good lie so I said screw it and hit my driver off the deck and nailed the green and it's stuck. Freaking three-putted for a bogey but that driver off the deck shot was awesome.the guys I was playing with said they'd never seen it that happen.

still, teed up at 18 needing par for an 89 and promptly lost my drive OB to the right. so it goes.

on the plus side...i putted really well. i think i had 3 one-putts

I played okay, shot 79 on a local public course.  Greens were just sanded that day and the tee boxes were dirt.  Very annoying.

I did have 3 birdies, which hasn't happened in years.  It was more luck than skill haha.

The dreaded 18 tee off with a score needed, it is tough but on the other hand, great putting.

Shot a 90 this morning and I'm not mad about it. Reverted to my "old" swing the last 2 holes and hit the ball well, so I may be changing back to it. We'll see what happens Monday.
