Kenny B 24,950
Well, my wife dragged me out to the course Saturday even though I didn't want to go. Winds were 25-35 with 50+ gusts. She said just pretend you are in Scotland without the rain!! I started off really well with pars on the first 4 holes, including #3 which I have the most doubles on so far this year. Then a Triple on the par 5 #5 straight into the wind, and a double on the par 4 #7 going the same direction. However, I birdied the par 5 #9. First birdie on that hole this year!! A good 42 for me, even with no wind. Then the wind picked up!!! I had 4 doubles on the easier back nine for a 46, worst score to par on that nine ever, I think. Still, the 88 is about the same score I have been shooting lately when there has been no wind. 7 Quote “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

I started 3 over through first 4 holes and then got the yips on my next par 5, shanking a drive. Next hole wast best drive with the new shaft, but then I shanked my 6i and then was too long on my 3/4 Pw into the green. I was +10 on the par 5s, which included three putt parring the last par 5. I was trying to stress my 3w ( see if it deserves to stay in my bag) so no surprise there. Wind was stronger than forecasted and was damp out. Ended up 3 shots away from breaking 100. With playing a game managed style of laying up better I would have scored mid 90s. Also only lost one ball the whole 18 which is remarkable for me considering all but 1 par 5 and par 4 I pulled driver. 7 Quote Driver: Epic Flash SZ with XStiff Pro 63. Kenny B 24,950
How do you go out in absolutely beautiful weather... 50º sunny and very little wind and shoot the exact same score you did the day before when the wind blew 30+mph with 50mph gusts?? 88 I drove the ball better today but nothing else worked... no short game, couldn't make a putt, no birdies. My wife, however, had 3 birdies including #1 and #2. She has never birdied them both in the same round. But she also had a few very bad holes including a triple par on the par 3 #12; she spent a lot of time in the sand today... 95. 8 Quote “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

fozcycle 12,415
Warming up today for tomorrow’s round with CZ-Rob......I walked today and shot a 39/44:83. I birdied the #1 Hcap Hole #4 and #8 Hcap Hole #10, both Par 4’s. Chipped in from 4 yards off the green on #4 and one putted from Pin high 8 feet on #10. On another note, my pushcart tipped over into a washout in front of #5 today as I stopped to fish a couple balls out of the pond. I forgot to set the wheel brake and as I was getting the balls out of the pond, my pushcart rolled into the 4’ washout and flipped over. I got it out and proceeded to the green . I realized m6 iPhone was missing about 3 holes later. So after the round, we got a cart and drove out to bathe hole then called my phone only to hear the sweet sound of the Masters Theme (my ringtone) coming from the bottom of the washout. I later asked the GM to have the washout filled in. He said no problem. Overall, great day walking as it warmed up from 65* to 80*.Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy 7 Quote Driver: Tour Edge Exotics EXS w/Mitsubishi ck Blue regular shaft BACKUP DRIVER: Cobra F8 w/Mitsubishi ck Blue regular shaft Fairways: Cobra King F8 3W(14.5*) & 5W(18.5*) w/Mitsubishi ck Blue regular shaft Hybrids: Tour Edge CBX 119 4H(22*) with Project X Evenflo regular shaft Irons: Wilson Staff D7 5 - PW w/Recoil 460 regular shafts Wedges: Wilson D7 GW(50*) & SW(54*) w/Recoil 460 regular shafts; Cleveland RTX Zipcore(58*) w/True Temper Spinner Wedge steel shaft Putter: 33" Slotline SSi 693 mid mallet Bag: Cobra Ultralite Cart Bag(Peacoat Blue). Popular Post PMookie 12,996
Ugly again. The course was absolutely SOAKED. Cart path only, and mud everywhere. Ugh. I actually lost FOUR balls in the fairway, and one off the side of the green. Buried in the muck.Played Dancing Rabbit- Azaleas course from the tips, 7100. I had a 50% coupon, and it was sunny and 70*, so I really can’t complain too much. This pic is of my longest drive of the day. All carry. The tee was at the top of the hill. fozcycle 12,415
Met up with CZ-Rob from Detroit, MI today for a round at Pebble Creek GC in Tampa. He had just taken possession of new Callaway Apex Irons. Man could he pound them! We played not so good, I shot a 44/49:93 with one penalty. Rob shot a 43/41:84. We both struggled with chips and putts. Anyway we had some fun. The weather was in the low 80’s.Oh, BTW, the CZ in CZ-Rob stands for the Czechoslovakia where his parents are from. He also has a putter making business, EV3D where he designs putters then prints them on a 3D printer. Very sweet looking putters and they roll smooth. Maybe he will share some down the road.Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpyCobra Speedzone Extreme (11.5*) w/ Mitsubishi Tense av Blue Regular; 3W & 5W Cobra King F8 w/ Mitsubishi Tense ck Blue Regular shafts; Tour Edge CBX119 22* Hybrid w/Project X Evenflo Regular shaft; Wilson Staff D-7 5-PW + GW + SW w/UST Mamiya Recoil 460 Regular graphite shafts; Cleveland RTX Zipcore LW(58*) w/DG Spinner shaft.
