tony@CIC 18,597
Windy, sloppy day for golf. Standing water on the fairways, cart path only, high winds and to top it off we ended up with rain halfway through the back. 47 on the front and a 45 on the back - not good but not horrible given the conditions. . Worst hole was a par 3 on the back where I carded a triple. Kinda tough to hit a good tee shot when the rain is pelting your face. Tee shot end up in a greenside bunker and then took 3 shots to get out wet sand. 9 Quote Left Hand orientation G410 SFT driver Cobra King F-9 5 wood 410 Hybrids 22*, 26* Cobra Speed Zone 6-GP/Recoil ESX 460 F3 Shafts SM7 54* Wedge Glide 3.0 60* Wedge O Works putter NX9-HD - 4 Wheel - too many shoes to list and so many to buy And BAG Boy Golf Balls: Snell MTB-X 2020 Official Tester Beginning Driver Speed - 78 2019 Official Tester 410 Driver 2018 Official Tester C300
Popular Post revkev 22,919
So I got permission from the doctor to hit balls on Friday - that was a rocky start. Lots of ground balls and ugly stuff but started to find it.So my wife said I could play today after church if I brought dinner home.Tee’d off at 2 in serious wind ancon and off drizzle - 6 iron on 3 from 140, 6 iron on 5 from 175 kind of wind. Turned in 41. But I found something on 7 that held on the back where I shot 35. Not bad for a guy who hadn’t played since January 5th on very difficult course. My only bogey on the back came on the bayou hole. 185 over a Bayou, I hit my 7 wood over, beautiful pitch to 8 feet and nasty lip out. It was so wet that I felt like Captain Ahab half the time on the back Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy 13 Quote Ping G410 - turned down to11.25 degrees, neutral setting - Fujikura Motore X R flex Ping G410 5-9 wood Wilson D7 forged 6-GW - Mamiya recoil 460 R flex SCOR 52,60 EVNRoll ER 5 Titleist Pro VIx optic yellow with revkev stamped on them Currently testing Edison wedges to replace SCORS that are wearing out. Also auditions for the 14th spot in the bag. Current possibilities are a Ping 26 degree hybrid - duplicates the 9 wood or 5 iron but would be used almost exclusively for chipping or Tour Exotics 3 wood simply because you can carry 14 clubs and I might occasionally hit it in certain unusual wind conditions once every four or five rounds. Popular Post sirchunksalot 10,166
We had an unexpected cancellation of work today, so I went out for the first time in a month and played nine. I shot 49, hitting only one fairway, 3 greens, and had 23 putts. My putter really killed my chance for a good round, usually it's my strength and today it was brutal. I had 5, count them, 5 three putts. I'm usually not one to change putters, but this had me considering it. I will say the greens were rolling slower than I'm used to due to a bit of rain. I just could not get one to go. This was my first round out with my HZRDUS Smoke Black shaft in my driver and it performed so good today. I only hit one fairway, but most of my misses were just in the rough. I did have one I blocked and another in the first tee that I duck hooked, but after settling down it was money. My irons were good today, all the practice I've put in with the Spornia net is starting to pay dividends. I got into my bad habits a couple of times, but was able to quickly remedy those. My biggest problem on my approach shots was my fairway woods and me knowing better not to hit them with the ball above my feet. I've got to quit doing that, I hit some shots that would make Francesco Molinari proud. 8
