Sounds like you planned well for it with the extra gloves and towels . I ended up hitting with 3 microfiber towels wrapped on the grips over those holes, it worked well but they got soaked fast so they were only good for about a shot or 2 . I also stuck with driver 4 iron 8 iron and 52 on all those holes so after the rain stopped everything else was ready to go lol 2 5 Quote Check out my reviews: G710 Irons Official Review MC Shaft & V Series Putter Official Review WITB: Traverse is filled with all this shiny metal and tracked by RadSpeed 8* - MotoreX F1 6X SIM 3W - Project X HZRDUS Green SpeedZone 4H - Project X HZRDUS Black 2019 P790 4-PW - Project X 6.5 LZ 48 (SM8), 52, 56, 60 (SM7) - Nippon Modus 125 S ER2VI PROV1X #19 Thank you to all those that have served/are serving and God Bless America

Was put on by C&W services which is a facilities group and they pulled all the stops. Unlimited range balls, fantastic breakfast lunch and dinner, great prizes and open bar all day, incredible. represented MGS well today was worried about it being cancelled, was light rain when I got there, had a great range session and we got to our starting hole 17 @ 9am. The sky’s absolutely opened up as soon as we teed off. It downpoured for about 6 holes. I went through 6 gloves and 5 towels lol. My rain jacket soaked through, which I didn’t think could be done. But if anyone is looking for rain shoes I put the UA HOVR shoes to the test today…..buy them I have dry feet. we pard 4 and birdied 2 of those 6 holes which was honestly extremely impressive IMO. My game was on and we had another guy similar handicap to me that is a really good player, other 2 drained some putts on those 6 for us that saved our butts. well sky’s cleared and the sun poked out. We proceeded to go 8 under after the first 6 with a completely clean card, 1 eagle and 8 birds. The course drained surprisingly and dried up a bit, and we finished dry as you can see below. irons and wedges were filthy today, tucked some close and put several wedges to tap in distance. No incredible drives but the short game worked for us. One frustrating part was I put closest to the pin hole to 3’ 2” which I found out would have won. There was a 12” written down on the card so I didn’t write it down, come to find out some moron wrote a porn stars name in……I didn’t catch the joke…..kid won it with a 4’ 6” ball…… all in all we came in second. Won 100$ and the course gave EVERYONE a free round good until next November for sticking out the rain! The group I played with was absolutely a blast, we drank, laughed and had a great day splashing the balls around. drained this 30’ for Bird! (Used all 3 of my shots) Looks like it was actually a fun time (at least it was warm!). Rain golf can be fun as long as you're prepared for it. Reminds me, right before I joined MGS, I played a scramble in late October in Minneapolis. Pouring rain, 45 degrees. Absolutely the dumbest thing I've ever done for golf! I hyper-extended my right 4th finger playing in sloppy rain at McChord AFB (now JBLM). Believe it was a 4i that slipped on the follow through. Swelled up quick and I was pretty much done a few holes later. Kept me up half the night and looked so bad in the wee hours of the morning, I headed to the ER. X-ray showed a small crack in the bone and I was splinted for 3 weeks. No love for soaking wet conditions and golf from me. I find the game challenging enough when it's dry (or mostly so). 4 3 Quote G410 Plus, 9 Degree Driver G400 SFT, 16 Degree 3w G400 SFT, 19 Degree 5w ZX5 Irons 4-AW Glide 2.0 56 Degree SW (removed from double secret probation ) ER5v Putter (Evnroll ER5v Official Review)

My wife and I could play all the golf we wanted on a 9-hole executive course: one par 5, 2 par 3's, 6 par 4's. Fun layout built by one of the local pros, and he did most all of the daily work himself. Annual fee was $900 for the both of us, including cart if we wanted. The greens were small and stimped about 6-7, far below any other course in the area. I didn't treat the course as a place to keep score, but rather a place to practice. We had some fun rounds with the pro in one group of 6 or 7 or however many showed up!! It didn't have any bunkers, so I never got to practice out of sand. When I retired, I told my wife I wanted to play at a full course with practice facility, so we moved to the most cost-effective course in our area. However, it costs us almost $3000 a year to play a muni. It's the price we have to live with to play a decent course in our area. The good news is that playing here has helped my short game immensely, and I play sand shots reasonably well now... after lots of practice!! Yea, unfortunately not many courses in my immediate area offer season passes. I talked with my wife about moving on/upgrading maybe in the next year or two. If the other courses weren't cart only, I'd have made the jump to the less expensive one. We've also looked at some of the lesser country clubs, but we're locked into a year long membership and neither of us care about the society aspects. I want to golf April through November. I did find one golf only club within half an hour, waiting to hear back from them. 6 Quote Take Dead Aim Driver: PXG 0211 10.5* Fairway: Titleist 917 F3 15* Hybrid: Adams Idea Pro Boxer Gold 18* Irons: Titleist 714CB 4-PW Wedges: Vokey SM5 & SM6 50/54/58 Putter: SeeMore X2 Costa del Mar Ball: Srixon Z-Star

M. Parsons 1,287
Played in the NM VGA State Championship this past Saturday at NMSU in Las Cruces and shot a 43/43-86 with 19/16-35 putts (3 3-putts, 4 1-putts), 2 doubles, 10 bogeys and 6 pars, 4 fairways and 7 greens. I felt like I was a little timid at times and definitely left some out there. I also didn’t seem to be hitting it as far as I usually do, so I had to adjust quickly. I wound up finishing 1st for my Flight, but full disclosure, there was only one other guy in my Flight. Dumb move on their part in my opinion. He's at Timberline, Heatherwood, and Ballantrae now. I was sold on them because during my first lesson, as we talked about goals he said his philosophy is to not get you a perfect swing but a repeatable one because we can't/don't practice everyday. He said he could teach me to hit it further or work it both ways etc. but if we focus on ball striking and hit more greens, scores will go down. 3 Quote M6 12* Oban Kiyoshi Purple 65g stiff TS2 16.5* HL Oban Kiyoshi Purple 75g stiff G410 Hybrid 19* Tour stiff i210 KBS tour stiff 4-GW 54* RTX Zipcore 58* glide 3.0 TP Black Copper Juno 34in Oncore elixr or Snell MTBx

Popular Post edingc 12,445
- 38/41 = 79 (+7) - 5/15 FIR - 9/18 GIR (3 birdies) - 30 Putts (2 3-putts, 8 2-putts, 8 1-putts) Streaky! Three birdies but two doubles on par 5s. One was a complete mental mistake as I aimed right at a back right tucked pin from 100 out and hung out a little fade that hopped off the back of the green. I made a mess from there. Otherwise, a pretty solid round. Pins were still in tough places from the "Greenskeeper's Revenge" scramble Saturday, so I'm not sweating the two three putts on the back. Driver was pretty squirrelly but put together some good shots to get those birdies. I even birdied No. 7, the No. 1 handicapped hole, with a good drive and 9 iron to about five feet from 155 yards out. 12 Quote Unofficial WHS Handicap: 6.2 / Anti-Cap: 11.7 (Last Updated June 26, 2022) Driver: Callaway Epic Max LS (9°), 45.75", Fujikura Motore X F1 6X | Club Champion Fitting 17° Hybrid: Callaway Super Hybrid, 41.5", Mitsubishi MMT Hybrid 80 TX 21° Hybrid: Callaway Epic Flash, 40", Mitsubishi MMT Hybrid 80 TX 4 Utility: Cobra KING Utility (2020 Model), 38.5", UST Mamiya Recoil 110 F5 5-PW: Ben Hogan PTx Pro, 37" 7 Iron, Aerotech SteelFiber i125cw Stiff | Club Champion Fitting 50°, 54°, 58°: Edel SMS, V Grind, Nippon Modus 125 Wedge| Official Review Thread Putter: L.A.B.
