CorentinV
Hi everyone, My name is Corentin, I'm 29 and I'm tuning in from the snowy landscapes of Québec City, QC, Canada. I've been playing golf for about a year now, and despite the chill, my passion for the game only keeps growing. I've played around 50 games so far, and I've had the pleasure of swinging my clubs at some amazing courses, with Celebration in Orlando, Florida, topping my list. There’s something magical about that place that just sticks with you! I carry a handicap of 18, but I'm continuously working to shave off a few points. My best round to date is an 89, which felt fantastic and motivates me to keep pushing. I currently working with a TheGolfRoom instructor, Alex Shattuck who is doing an amazing job from Hawaii with me. Given the long winters here, I spend quite a bit of off-season time on a Trackman. It’s been a game-changer for me, helping refine my swing and strategy without having to brave the cold. So far, I've played 25 games on the Trackman, holding a handicap of 5.5 there. It’s fascinating to see how different it is from playing on an actual course! I joined MyGolfSpy because I'm eager to learn from all of you, share my experiences, and perhaps even test some new gear if the opportunity arises. I’m particularly interested in understanding more about how different equipment can affect play and how to optimize gear for personal playing style. To finish, my wife just decided to join me on this golf journey. She started playing since last week with the help of a coach. Looking forward to great discussions and lots of learning. Let’s hit these forums like we hit those fairways! ShankyPanky
Bought a driver to initiate a date with a girl, ended up being complimented on my drives. Had no idea what I was doing, but was cranking them out. Decided to get a half hour lesson at a discount. Started hitting em straight and so high in the air... Splurged on a used set with bag for 15$ and bought a putter at Goodwill. I started playing seriously in the Summer whilst the heat was 120° everyday. No one wanted to be out in the heat except me...lost 40 pounds of Fat, met some cool people and started scrambling with them. Absolutely love the game, wished I started as young as possible. I play in AZ if anyone wants to play. Rob Person, Wib081 and cksurfdude 2 1 Quote Nicklaus irons 2-9 and Lob Wedge; 5 wood(18°). TaylorMade driver(10.5°), Cleveland (PW?°?) I am a weekend warrior type golfer but I am super competitive and have a strong desire to improve my game. Currently I am a 20 handicap but at onetime I was a 14 and stopped being able to play as much as I did. Injuries suck ! feel free to message and i look forward to all threads . cksurfdude, Rob Person, GolfSpy_APH and 2 others 4 1 Quote “It took me seventeen years to get three thousand hits in baseball.
